How the input for wake up KKK Flip Kara Throw works?

i think this setup should only work on 4 frame safe jumps and that’s about it. only the first frame of the kkk flip can be canceled, the next frame after that isn’t invincible. with long active frames of fireballs or headbutts, i doubt it would work against those attacks. it might not even work on meaty attacks since they all have at least 2 active frames (unless they really do attack with the last active frame)
I’m wondering if safe-jumps setups for ≥ 4 framers do not whiff sometimes against Claw. He does wake-up a frame later in a lot of knockdowns (just as Sagat, for example). Because as those setup do hit at the very first frame of wake-up… so it would mean KKK flips became reversables (while they are know as not). Otherwise, it’s just a matter of whiff, and you would catch the jumper while he is recovering from his whiffed attack just as if he fake-jumped.

hmm, just test to work on 5 frame safe jumps as well
i recorded the setup with fraps, and played through it frame by frame. there’s something interesting going on here. if you to cancel the kkk flip to a special move, you won’t see kkk flip to come out. kkk flip also has a “slight” reversal timing, it’s not strictly a one frame thing. pushed kkk 4 frames before i fully woke up and it still worked. it’s almost like the reversal special timing got transfered towards the kkk flip and the invincibility went into the special move. the reason why the timing is so hard is because you have to do the special move ON THE FIRST FRAME of waking up. don’t know if making the kkk flip as a reversal would make this process easier…
this is all cool and all, but people will OS and it will hit, haha
fun fact: when you are being hit, you cause both characters to be in a hit animation for 13 frames
Ok this kinda makes sense. This would explain why I cant seem to get it working on a cancel of a normal into kkk to kara throw… So this might be why it only seems to work on getting up from a knockdown.
Yes you may be able to counter this if you are predictable but with the application of the flip xxx focus noted above by Olympian it makes for a mean punish to the regular OS sweep punish. Now that I know it cant work with reversal im gonna go play around with reversal kkk flip xxx Focus tech (note: LP+LK+MP+MK+ Back) into back dash to expand my tech throw window on tick throws…

kkk kara is too funny. I love using kkk karathrow this to blow up the obvious safejumps now, the rare times I get it to come out. Karafocus could also be useful, and karataunt is hilarious.
On an unrelated note, I find it irritating that the game engine allows you to plink with the select/back buttons. I feel like I should mod my stick so I can plink my c.lp combos, why should I knowingly ignore a powerful execution aid? I wish it just wasn’t possible, it’s stupid that you can do this when you couldn’t in the arcades (unless you actually could somehow and I’m mistaken). Almost seems underhanded to take advantage of.
Yes u can do it in the arcade cabinets. Using the start button. (there is only one).

In all seriouness though. Its likely that you will get a trade off that. But if you empty jump you can whiff punish it with crLP crMP xx EX FBA.
The thing is that FChamp played the MU perfectly while Jozhear made several mistakes.

True. A bit too much throws/techs included. I wonder too why he didn’t went to izuna loop once he had FChamp cornered. Maybe EX blast would beat it ?
