The same reason why you can combo cl.MK into Scarlet Terror. He broke his charge for only a split second and input the ultra before timing window was over for using the charge.

Jeez

or you can input the ultra motion with circle-ish motions. this only works because the jump in was meaty and it was on wakeup.

Or charge db. forward, back(block high) forward KKK ?

Does it work this way?

I’ve tried the way Meteo said. It turns out it is not that difficult. It is actually easier than st.smt-ST. I have some new weapon now

Somehow I’ve never seen this massacre… sorry, footage before. Daigo’s Akuma against Brokken_G’s Vega.

I see three things to retain out of this :
— Teching and even plink-teching seems useless
— cMK isn’t that great to apply pressure
— Even Daigo does wake-up ultras… X_X

I see another thing.
Daigo is the best Ryu, one of the best Yuns. But Akuma? No. Akuma was just a little character try he did for a couple of months and then gave up. But Vega is Brokken G’s main for years and eveyone thinks he is one of the best. And look at what’s happening here.

My point is, I love Vega beyond words. I play the game for him. But this is, along with Rufus and Seth, is his worst match up and I just don’t find it real when people say this match up is 6-4. No way. I get that people try to soften the bad-sides by telling this. But it’s not real. I just don’t see any Vega taking more than 3 matches against Tokido’s Akuma or Poongko’s Seth out of 10. These two match ups cannot possibly be better than 7-3. And I can’t change my mind until proven wrong, not in theory but in practice. People can say they have horrible vitality and two combos mean their life. That’s true in theory. But you don’t get to land two full combos against them in practice.

still cracks me up - needs to be reposted every couple years : )

I think Reiketsu and Jozhear would straight beat Tokido, and 5-5 against Pongkoo.

The only problem with Akuma is the vortex. When I play against a Gouki player as skilled as I am, I use to win. We do often play together. Sooner or later an Akuma player will join, and you’ll see.

There is one thing you still lack compared to top Claw player, and that thing is a solid defense. Which is in fact the only reason why less skilled players (Hi ! (^o^)/) could take some matches from you. And a solid defense is essential against good Akumas/Seths.

And even with that I do remember seeing you destroying a certain Deviljunior’s Akuma, don’t you ?

PS : my defense lacks as well, by the way

Don’t good Gouki players have option selects in their demon flips to make defense quite a bit more difficult?

I honestly don’t even know how Gouki works which is probably why I get blown up so bad whenever I play one. Can someone explain to me what a Gouki players options are once he starts the vortex?

True, my defense sucks. I want to slice those arragont shotos with the combos I’ve practiced for years, the damage of which they can do with their combos starting with their fucking chain jabs. So I get bloodthirsty. This is why I do more stuns and perfects than optimum for a Vega player, but I also lose more horribly under pressure.

I just wish Reiketsu would hear and take that bet and have a 10-matches set against Tokido and Poongko. He is one of my favourites, but I know he can’t get more than 3.

Too many.

He can empty jump-grab. Or empty jump and make you think he will grab and direct srk or cr.lp.

He can demon flip and do any of the ending and you have to guess. You can cr.block slide and dive but the grab takes you. You can backdash or flip, but the slide takes you. You can focus but the punch armor breaker will get you. So it is a complete game of luck.

He can back jump air projectile and then demon flip with it or walk towards while the air proj. is coming and sweep if you st.block, over head if you block low or grab after proj.'s hitstun ends.

He can forward jump air proj. and grab before it hits you. Or time it and jump-in cross up just after the air proj.'s hitstun died. Or do one of the things after his back jump air proj. above.

Well, it’s funny. But I guess the maker of this didn’t play any street fighter or had a special hatred against Vega. Pipe, kunai, grenade, scarf, boxer gloves, illusional throwing things (aka projectiles), an electricty and fire installed suit, knife, stones, chains, katana and whatnot.

About Akuma’s vortex, Gross-I did explained it.

But I think sometimes it’s better to study it first from the enemy’s point of view.

Then from the MU point of view.

Spoiler

I don’t consider BrokkenG Claw game as as good as Joz’s or Reiketsu’s, but he’s improving. More lights at contact, and I like the use he does of the wall jump, to escape by backjumping, an then strike back if the opponent does anything punishable. =)

Pure awesomeness. Blocking everything rightly. Punishing everything rightly. Cr.mk-cr.lp-cr.mp not cr.mk-cr.mp as he saw he doesn’t have no exbar and then anti-air cr.hp. Although the first round was a little off. Walking back in vain and putting himself to the corner and then random ST and then random ultra.

More Reiketsu footage against Nekojita’s Abel and one Rufues that is famous for playing Dan:

Fuck Sky High Claw.

Fuck dive kicks

Indeed. =/

He did a lot of CH attempts too, a bit more than reasonable I think. Nice play nontheless. =)

As Vegaman once said : Claw’s come-back factor is underestimated ^^
