Oh hell yes I appreciate it, haha. I’ve had a lot of success anti-airing other Vegas with LK.ST, I thought that since my reactions were pretty good I could land it before their attack got too deep. Yeah, you proved that wrong, haha, j.HK has great hitbox in terms of “sticking something out” like you’ve always said. Walking backwards and kara throwing turned out to be a much better way to avoid jumpins in that ST-killing angle.
You knew a lot of the pressure loops better than I did, the ones that work better vs characters without 3-frame normals or reversals. That made your more-accurate kara throws threatening, scaring me into wishing I could safely backdash. The meta-game thinking, where you knew I was always late teching, hurt too. I think I could definitely adjust and give you an even harder time…
The reason I throw after df.MK (and everyone else) is that its +0 on hit, and you have to throw to beat 3-frame normals, otherwise you can be hit or will just trade with a slower normal like Vega’s cr.LP. I still think it has value though, I was happy to land a bit of damage and safely get teched back out, but I’ll consider jump-back HP and backdash-cr.MP more.
You got a lot of mileage out of canceling blocked RCFs. It’s -2 so I should be able to jab you out of any simple followup you try, but oftentimes I wouldn’t be sure if I should expect it again, while you were preparing to nail the timing… so the pressure worked. I doubted my frame data knowledge about that when I got hit, but I should be able to tighten up my timing in the future vs that crap… haha
I swear every time you mashed out a ST, the NEXT move I was going to make would be to fake you out by not attacking and punish it haha. Why you so meta? Haha, jk, I know I should be a little more solid and unpredictable on cr.LP/st.LK/cr.MK strings. We just do it so much more in Vega vs Vega than in the other matchups that I’m not used to keeping it going for so long.
