Yun got nerfed but in no way should you underestimate him, the nerfs just weeded out the crappy players.
in this iteration… i really havnt seen any character you should worry about underestimating. I’m finding more and more (especially in 2012) that matchups dont really matter. Everyone for the most part is so even that you’re pretty much focusing on the player and not the character. Honda, Sagat, Viper and Seth are strong but… those are really the only ones you need to know the matchup better than they do to win.
IMHO you can add Ken to that list, maybe it’s just me but he’s such a pain to deal with.
abel has always been in that list, for me at least,even more now with buffed cr.hp and +dmg on TT
Ah and imo ryu will be giving us more trouble than ken in this version,he is a beast again in 2012

Vega vs Abel all comes down to reading his mixup. Particularly on wakeup. that’s not a character matchup thing though. that’s a player mindset thing. That’s assuming he knocks you down. The increased damage on TT doesnt change the risk factor involved in using it. And it’s STILL less damage than taking a combo.
as for cHP… just safe jump it or space yourself out so that it whiffs… i’ll have to do more testing though to find out if it beats all vega’s jump in options.

Brokken is very unorthodox, and sometimes during blockstrings I wanna scream at him, " Stop pressing buttons!!!", even though I do that shit all the time too. My personal favorite Vega is Makoto, although Joz is by far the most patient Vega I’ve ever seen in action.
Brokken can also be Cosmic Heel drunk at times, something I use to be in Super, but we could get away with it back then. Gotta love his forward dash cr.mk though, he makes that shit look easy.

I don’t think he has good execution cause I don’t see any combos in his matches and I must have seen at least 20 of them. Just no combo whatsoever, single blows constantly. And combos are the most important part of a fighting game for me. His reactions are also poor. Of course Makoto, Tatsu and Reiketsu are the best Vega players for me too. But Araidon (Cat-K) also is a Youtube hero. I don’t know why he doesn’t participate in tournaments though. And I can’t see his matches recently.
Brokken G is very good Vega, what how about Satouz, Kurenai
From the beginning, the most excited Vega I ;ve seen is Tatsu, his combos and his game play is very smart
Makoto shows basic but effective game play
Joz shows how patient and solid he is
BrokkenG shows how good is him at spacing and dash
Meteo2 shows how tricky Vega has

It was the year 2010…i didn’t even know there was SF4 I only knew about it cause they mention it in the “behind of cameras” of a fan made movie…quickly went to IGN and in the character section when speaking about Vega it said something like…"we sorry to inform you that Vega is considered probably the second worse character in the game…really sad to hear this (cause i played Vega on sfa3)…i went to you tube and searched Vega fights…most of them featured Vega players losing horribly…then I came across this “THE ONLY_J” guy…and not only he was winning with vanilla Vega…he was actually humiliating people with him…dancing around them with grace,puling out things during real matches that most of us only see in combo videos…until today having watched the best Vega players in the world i haven’t encounter one as entertaining to watch as the only j
