Nothing wrong with pointing out mistakes and bad play, no matter who it is. Why are you making excuses for Makoto and trying to deny analysis of the match?
I hate his match vs momochi was off stream.
I was not at all suprised makoto lost(it was the first time he had to face Yun), but i wanted to see how Makoto even was trying to play that match, because I am at my wits end on how to fight Yun… any decent Yun just destroys me by ignoring vega’s game completly… its sickening…
Not even in the vanilla days have I had to resort to a secondary before Yun, but now i feel like i have to have a “counter Yun” character, because Vega seems so free against him.
This is Makoto’s Shadowloo Showdown 2K11 match with Gootecks and I’m primarily concerned with how he canceled the FA into ultra 2.
That’s the whole match, but I’m referring to 5:01 and little onwards…how does he do that? Like dash forward and go into U2?
Makoto defeated a Yun in a 3v3 match the Yun player was on Mike Ross & Gootecks team. I think they said he was th ebest Yun in Singopore or somethin.
That was the same Yun that sent Mago to losers too.

the dash just takes the place of the first forward in the ultra motion. So, Charge druring FA, f,f,b,f+kkk. Its how any of the other charge characters do it. Guile and Rog use it all the time.

That was the real deal, btw anyone find that Makoto’s defense was kinda lacking? Like how many times can someone run into the Scarlet Terror before just walking up and blocking? The damn move never worked for me on wake up as much as it did Makoto lol
Makoto was rusty… lacking in defense and offense both… however a rusty makoto is still one hell of a threat it seems!!
That second match against gootecks (the one makoto lost) was so hilarious, Makoto used the backdash 95% of the time and 90% of the time Gootecks option selected sweeped that bullshit (one time i believe 4 or 5 times in a row)… Gootecks was sitting behind makoto looking at him with a “wtf are you doing, dude!” look on his face shaking his head a few times, probably not believing what he was seeing… rusty rusty makoto… luckily for makoto he did seem to catch that bad habit in the third match, lol!
He also didnt seem to have played AE much with very many unsafe cosmic heels, thinking it was super.
Yeah the second Sagat match, it almost looked like he was falling back in old habits but got thrown out of his CH follow up several times.
Couple games from me at a tournament yesterday at 43 minutes and 1 hour 29 minutes. Rusty as fuck though , I’ve been autopiloting with Cammy since June 7th.
If anyone’s got any constructive criticism (or just plain criticism) , I’d be thankful to hear it. Don’t tell me about execution errors though , I know that my execution needs to be on point.
