lol funny thing is I did some of those on accident. I was trying to frame trap with standing Lk after my clp and I pushed up on my stick to far and there goes my jump.
You did good man just a few things I like to do is: Focus burn kick when they are naked burn kicks, focus full screen seismos, Try to keep jumping to a minimal because hp stun knuckle is vicious, meaty cl hp is really good in this match and should be used occasionally, If I am going to use cosmic heel tricks I normally jump over them and then I block the first time then I start mind games after I get them to be more conscious about throwing out random stuff after cosmic heel cross over. these are just things I like to do against my viper playing friends.
I love watching Makoto fight. It reminds me that I need to stop going for combos all the time, and rely more on my pokes. I like the way Makoto spaces people out and sets up throws.
its simple, different characters are designed to jump in at different instances, for eg akuma has the options to jump in on wakeup and not in a groundgame, claw on the other hand is designed to jump in during a ground game cause hes got quite a few options to keep the opponents guessing from his jump in range. plus his jump in is one of the quickest in the entire game with a very sharp trajectory.
I understand there is a time and place for jumping and Vega has a nice sweet spot where it may be reletavly safe to jump giving him the ability to jump more than usual during a ground game, especially when he is that close. But he just kept jumping in whenever he had the chance, and he got AA so many times it made me question it. Its not limited to this Vega, a lot of Vega’s do that. Which is why I can’t figure out why these Japanese Vega’s jump in so much even after they keep getting AA half the time and aren’t doing anything to mix it up.
I noticed that it got to the point that the Makoto would simply wait for the jump. At one point he did mix it up with the st.lk, but still. maybe im being to assenine.
