My “EH” vega at a recent Ranbat. Critiques are very welcome. Something to note however, is that I have very little experience against Cody. I’ve played mediocre ones online, but that’s quite a different story from playing one who knows what he’s doing, obviously. But anyway, any and all advice is appreciated.
Ok I see your mix up of using Stand Lp–> Throw or CH is very well, Focus Attack to cope with jump-in is good too
Personally, things I want to suggest you are:
1- Try to practice hit confirm from cr. lp–>cr.lp—>cr.mp—> EX FBA when you have opportunity
2- Non-Ex tornado of Cody is delayed a little bit, you can do cr.mk—>cr.mp—> EX FBA when it happens
3- Jump back air throw some times doesn’t work because of short range , you can use Jump back MK of Jump back MP instead because they have higher priority than Air throw

Ugh. Me at a recent Ranbat. Honestly, I almost never fight Balrog. That sounds retarded, seeing as how he’s one of the most easy and popular characters. But, it’s true. I just felt lost trying to fight a turtling Balrog. Any tips are greatly appreciated (and needed).
Though in my defense, alot of my shitty mistakes were due to my not having played SSFIV in like, two weeks prior to this. Way too busy with school and such.

I wanted to play a real pro Akuma even though he would murder me, so i challenged him for a pretty low ammount.
His “fake cross up” is pretty nasty, you block the cross up, but akuma lands in front of you, so your blocking the wrong side again 
… he did that to me alot in the corner.
Funny fact:
Tokido actually is a pretty nice guy who can speak english on a reasonable level. I asked him afterward what he thought of the match up and he said that he only needs to knockdown Vega once usually…then its over.
Then i asked him if any japanese Vega stood a chance against him and he blatently said “No” then after thinking a little while longer he said “Well Makoto, but he quit now”
That Makoto quit was also news for me.

I was actually doing really well in the single tournament. But Sako was also in my bracket poule.
Eventually i had to face him on the stage and as expected he sent me to losers pretty quickly.
He counterpicked me with his cammy, because he played Rose the entire tournament, me and Tokido were the only times he used cammy.
A guy who beats also Makoto pretty handily as my opponent… i never had a chance :shy:
