Cr.MP->MP Thunder Knuckle isnāt even a true blockstring man, you can interrupt it with Scarlet Terror and Ultra.

Here you go guys. This was the last video I recorded of me vs. Joz. I hit with a BHC setup on reaction in the video.

I subbed you based on the commentary alone, you should make the sad version a regular thing.

@Meteo2 : When Blanka do rainbow roll, you can easily jump back MP or LK, it will be more safety than Focus Attack, when currently high level Blanka players can control the distance of rainbow roll
What is not safe about focusing rainbow roll ?
bad player fall for focus then landing the level 3 into a damaging combo, good players canāt get nailed with a level3 because theyāll steer cross up , so you just focus absorb nonetheless backdash then whack them off the sky with a CH and juggle or at the very least slide their landing. Pretty much the same as what people do with out wall dive.
I said it would be more safety, not considering Focusing attack was not safe
Why? Itās because Jump back MP or LK can totally get you out of pressure when speed of this match is increasing
Ok, but itās only my opinion, not offending you or Meteo2
Was just asking what was behind your reasonment and why you did think it would lead to better result than what I use , I did not feel offended at all.
So far I had great results with focus absorbing rainbow roll and never met a blanka who could work around focus absorb dash + CH, Your stuff looks usefull too for when they do it as a reversal.
Because we have the concensus that Meteo2 is skilled Vega player in our forum, but in two of his videos above, we can see even him getting stuck with focus attack, when letting Blanka has many opportunities to punish him
I think in real match, higher risk let to higher result, as you explained .
Here is some cases that lead to higher risk:
1-Blanka do rainbow roll but he stop in front of you when you focus attack, he will easily graph you
2-Blanka do rainbow roll to cross up you , FA absorps it but we need perfect reaction to dash backward or forward to punish him, so itās hard for all Vega players, but if you can, CHā> ST is fantastic
3-Blanka do rainbow roll to run out of corner , FA canāt prevent it
But the solution of using Jump back MP or LK can lead to
1- You are at safe position for next coming attack
2- Reversal him, so he is not likely to use rainbow roll many times
3- He canāt
hum that fake roll into grab looks like a pain indeed. thanks for the tip, iāll experiment with those two, it can never hurt to not be predictable.
FA is the better solution to what both of you are discussing. Reactions are a skill and him faking you out with EX Rainbow Ball wont work provided you have the reactions, which all of you should constantly work on.
Outcomes on FA
-He does EX Rainbow Ball and lands right on top of you, thats a Lv.3 FA provided you timed it right
-He does cross up EX Rainbow Ball making you Focus Attack the wrong way, easy to react to and still punishable by throw follow up.
-He fakes you out, you simply back dash or dash forward. You are now at the perfect position where anything he does is a risk, and you are in the right spot to start an offense.
Outcomes of you jumping back
-Land minimal damage and to far to start something and you got pushed back
-Get hit by EX Rainbow Ball
Your jump back option is only applicable in the corner to prevent escape, in which case is almost always a reversal so FA fails. If this is the case, neutral jump air grab is a much better set up and nets you a free safe jump. If you do it (jump back) any where mid screen you lost valuable space and are closer to the wall, which shows that you dont know how to hold on to space and easily intimidated by an offense.
BTW, Meteo lost to the Counter Hit (desperately tried to get Blanka off pushed way to many buttons (cr.mp)), was out played (not badly but losing always = outplayed) this being a 5-5 match up, and not maximizing punishment. Had he maximized punishment things wouldnāt have been so bad, in fact im confidant he would have won.
In fact, if you look at his video he lost the same way a lot of Vegaās lost to Blanka in Vanilla, over relianze on cr.mp which is not a good move against Blanka. You should look Makoto vs Blanka(forget the fellows name), he lost to Blanka the same way Meteo lost to that Blanka.
also meteo if you pop someone who is in a corner with ex fba just hold right and drop them, you cant miss it, they stay in the corner and you can do a safe lk ST to charge meter
