Using it to beat tech attempts.
Sometimes when beating an OS tech and depending on the character cr mp may miss after the Cl Fierce.
When # 2 occurs you use this option instead which will reach any opponent since it forces the opponent to stand.
If you trade with their attack using cl Fierce you use this option.
If you trade with st HK you can use another St HK to get 150 dmg.
However at certain distance the first hit will miss as shown.
To get max dmg you can use cr Fierce instead or st Fierce.
I show cl fierce beating a counter attempt using my cl Fierce setup in an actual match.
Cl Fierce beating Viper’s ex attack even when the first hit misses.
Same as 8 but this shows a situation in which it beats Vega’s flip. It also beats backdashes and jumping as well as OS techs."

Counter hit Cl HP to SC? Seems more doable than counter hit cr mk, you probably could have confirmed that fairly easily in those examples from the matches. Cl HP on Viper’s wakeup and watching for the EX Seismo seems like a pretty feasible way to land it.
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems that counterhit cl HP only combos if it’s a focus attack? I’m not sure of the mechanics of it, but it doesn’t work on regular counterhits such as on Viper’s EX Siesmo. Still, pretty cool that if you break a FA with cl HP, you get a free Splendid Claw.
A shame that all of this loses to those lenient reversal dps. Doing this too much is extremely risky. I wonder if it beats wake-up SPDs, though.
I have not once through my entire time using this move been hit by a reversal DP move from using this move, except from off a jump attack. However at the same time I have got a bunch of counter hits with this move off a jump attack. People just love to OS tech this move.
Also if they love to use reversal DPs, then even better! I have so much fun with reversal moves now. I just play with my opponent to get them to use that reversal move or even just a poke and then use the appropriate counter. They learn really quick when that counter does 250 to 350 dmg everytime. Then it puts them back at being pressured greatly.
Vega walks so fast and can combo you at such far ranges that it really puts alot of pressure on people. The cl HP works so well because he covers the distance so quickly and then people panic cause they expect the throw, in which case they OS tech and get destroyed by the cl HP counter.

Interesting list. Though Makoto and Cat-K are at a whole different level that anyone below them doesn’t even matter (imo). You’re also forgetting Nao, whom I believe is the third best among the group (on Cat-K’s level).
I’d also think Reiketsu should be higher but that’s just me. But like I said, Outside Mak, Cat-K and Nao, it’s pretty much a toss up.
Right, so can anyone give me any constructive criticism for Claw? Playing Claw for the first time, some of these games lagged (When don’t they lately?), but wasn’t too bad. I’m also playing with a broken pad where the buttons decide they don’t wanna respond/stick. My stick should be ready by tomorrow, I haven’t actually played for about a month or so, and these matches were about a week ago. Maybe I’ll start playing again and properly when my stick comes and I have time. Anyway…

I am glad you liked it. Just a couple of things ill say about your matches though.
You should try to get some combos in there especially against a character like Chun who you want to kill quickly, since she can out footsies you. Those times you hit that cr lp it should have led into an EX FBA or something.
Be careful with the “random” Ex FBA in general. Try not to throw those out too often, especially when you don’t need to. EX SHC is a slow move as well that I wouldn’t suggest unless its setup well.

I would suggest that you practice your combos a little more to get them down. Also be careful when using FBA on Blanka. He has a ton of ways to defend against it well. Also when he whiffs that blanka ball punish that thing hard. Don’t just poke him. Hit him with CH -> ST. Actually that would be an ideal opportunity to land CH -> ultra 2.

I thought i played pretty decently in all the matches, but these are some of the best players in the UK i’m playing against. I’m mad salty about the Ibuki loss, as I beat Femi literally 5 seconds earlier in casuals, nerves I guess.

second hit of the move has to be counter hit. So the only other set up is off yoour opponents wake up. say hello Viper, rose, Dhalsim, etc.
“OmG iTz Andre” is a complete idiot who can’t take a loss every time he’s beaten. I’ve played him in a number of ranking matches (raping him for free no less) and always get a message saying “wow, you’re bad” or “you’re such a noob” etc. Pay him no mind. The epitome of online scrub.
I tested that, I tried it against Viper’s EX Seismo on wakeup where the first hit of the cl HP whiffs and the second hit is a counter hit. There wasn’t enough hit stun to combo Ultra.
The hitstun is noticeably longer if you counterhit their FA for some reason. I didn’t look into it too much, but try it yourself and see what you think. I’m still gonna see if I can land the Cl HP to U2 the next time someone focuses my empty jump in or something.
ill do some testing. maybe its character hit box dependent. like ceartin hitboxes are succeptible to this.
I think it’s just that there’s a bigger penalty (hitstun) for getting counterhit out of a focus attack. I tried Viper’s FA and I could combo cl hp into U2, but normal counterhit doesn’t work. It works on Ryu’s FA like in the video, but not normal counterhit on Ryu. But feel free to test and see if you find anything interesting!
