The fact that this game has ammo in it makes me decidedly less hyped for it…
Did infinite ammo really make that much of a difference for you?
I think I heard that you dont have to be a specialist in a specific weapon anymore to make decent use of it. So this simply means you’ll be switching weapons around to conserve ammo.
and infinite ammo made a world of difference to me
unless every enemy killed drops ammo for the gun you killed him with
this might be really really lame
Uh, yeah, it did. Mass Effect was about discovering a new universe for me, and a blatant “fuck you” to a canonically established system, that being the way ammunition worked, is a blatant “fuck you” to me as a player.
You guys get butt hurt over everything.
I mean, I’m not liking the fact that ammo is used now too, but I mean really? You’re ‘decidedly’ less hype now?? Hollerin about shit is going to be lame?
As far as we know, maybe ammo only get depleted in weapons you don’t specialize in, and that could be the main difference with that this time(besides stat points).
I just found out what the ammo system actually is, and it makes a great deal of canonical sense.
Makes sense to me. That’s the same premise behind the stealth systems on the Normandy SR-1.
Carry on. Nothing to see here.
How easily you cool down after what looked like a mental riot
I’m sorry that the story of the game matters to me. I’m even sorrier that that offends you so much.
i dont mind it, but dont see the point of it
I’m sorry that you dramatically jump to false conclusions and baseless assumptions. And I’m even sorrier that you feel it actually offends me.
Right, I can see this is going absolutely nowhere, but with you, it rarely does much else.
Anyway, I’m hoping that they release a class video for the two classes that’re still missing. I didn’t know many people who mained Soldier when they got into high-level shit, but I’m excited to see what they’ve done for my Infiltrator.
lol@ people getting upset over ammo? Really?
You see, that’s the problem right now. You must think everything you post, is agreeable, and that people must be offended if they post to you in disagreement. Lobelia, you’re a prime example of how easy it is to just to hit the submit button, your post count is mad high.
I thought you would understand that.
Nobody is actually matching your level of drama, when they quote you and post.
Both of you shut the hell up and get back to posting information about the game.
Oh, I forgot to post another of the GameTrailers updates, it’s just another little smidgen of combat footage and a nice little bit of the dialogue, helps get a nice look into how things are going to work as far as squad mate conjunction. The combat and the dialogue blend together really well in this trailer too, which was one of the big faults with the first game and with BioWare games in general up to this point(apparently that stops now).
Jesus Christ, that’s enough.
Is Mass Effect 2 coming out for Steam?
I’m asking cause the first one didnt come out until later, but it doesn’t have all that DRM bs. The thing is, I don’t think Steam has the DLCs for the first game, I never even got to playing Bringing Down the Sky or Pinnacle Station. And, I read about http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=786714
But Dragon Age on the other hand, came out on Steam and you could preorder it a month before the release date, but still no word on ME2.
They don’t really say whether it’s going to launch on Steam, but like you said, they allowed you to pre-order Dragon Age, so the likelihood seems to be that Mass Effect 2 won’t have a digital purchase right off the bat. I’d really like it to, though.
As for the DLC, I think EA’s official website has it. I haven’t downloaded either of the episodes, but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work if I just downloaded it right away unless there’s something about Steam that I don’t know.
Oh you got the Steam one too?
That’s the thing, it’s not as easy as just doing that, cause I was about to do that too. Especially since BDtS is free.
But, you need the CD key(we got that though with our steam ver), but there’s some other type of DRM thing that’s in the DLCs where you can only install the DLCs 5 times. That complicated things, I was reading some posts and some people were saying that it invalidated their CD key for the game and some other such stuff.
So I’ve been afraid to do it, Steam should just release the DLC. Especially since one of them is free.
EDIT: and I think I read that one of the DLCs is atleast a gig in content. EA man, damn.
Yeah, I got it on Steam because Steam is really convenient. I would have done the same thing for Team Fortress 2 if it hadn’t been on sale…and a gift from a friend of mine. I’m starting to really like digital purchases. That’s how I plan to buy Star Trek Online.
But anyway, that’s really odd. I can try and talk to a few of my friends about it since I chitchat with a bunch of really computer-savvy(and Steam-savvy) people, but if it’s too much of a hassle, I might actually buy Mass Effect again, as retarded a solution as that is. I heard that the DLC was pretty cool and I’d really like to get my hands on it before Mass Effect 2 comes out.
That’s probably Bring Down the Sky. I know that parts of Bring Down the Sky are actually environments that they couldn’t fit into the final release of Mass Effect, such as the final area being copped from the planet that would eventually become Therum, where you rescue Liara. But cut content becoming DLC seems to be the basis for Bring Down the Sky, and I can only imagine that there’s a fuckload of it.
