What’s the order of inputs ya do for the setup? Meaty HP Clap, OS EX BB then hold back to block?
Is it just me or is connecting U2 after Super (not after Ultra Throw -> Claps -> Super) kinda hard when not near the corner?
I think its a lil bit easier then doing it in the corner , but thats just me. Also, ground Super>U2 only works on a few characters. Juggle Super>U2 works on alot of characters. Wat i do is during the super (since it takes so long) is i keep doing the U2 motion so my hand can get the feeling down and then when i see him coming to the right spot i input the buttons, its easier for me to connect it, its just something i do to get the feel for it
Well okay, i managed to land it.
Hp.Clap -> Mp.Clap -> Lp.Clap -> Super -> U2
Did it on Boxer near the corner, does 693 Damage.
I am not sure, i think i did it on Ryu too but the most damage i could do on him was 663 so maybe it was a different combo i can’t really remember.
Anyway, i have yet to find a Red Focus combo that does more damage than the simple 3 Clap Super.
The most damaging one i got (without Ultra) is Hp.Clap -> Mp.Clap -> RF -> Mp.Clap -> EX.Clap -> Lp.Clap -> cr.Lk -> Lk.Lariat for 497 damage.
Hadn’t seen it mentioned, but just in case it hasn’t been:
AA ex.lariat puts opps into a free juggle state, so AA ex.lariat, FA (hit), bb/ex.bb/U2/st.mp
AA ex.lariat, red focus, puts opponent into spinning juggle state, so AA ex.lariat, RF (hit), lp.clap xx U2
I did this on Adon (for testing). Don’t know if its character specific, but i’m pretty sure it isn’t.
Did the three Claps into Super on a crouching Rose and it whiffed.
You have to cancel the Super from something (like cr.Lk) after the Lp.Clap or it will whiff.
Don’t know if it whiffs on other characters too but i am pretty sure there are more.
Are you sure that hits? When I tried normal Focus I could only get a HP Clap with the enemy standing after a level 3 focus. A level 2 focus never yielded the same result. Red focus should follow the same rules and therefore only MP clap would work reducing it to 6 as we know it.

Only MP connects after EX RFA, yes.
anyone do any significant work with stun combos after meat squasher (ala 3S?). I saw desk stun with meat squasher and still connect the st.mp afterwards which I assume maintains the stun, does st.lp xx super maintain the stun (e.g. meat squasher <<stun>> st.lp xx super (super completes) <<still stun>> insert combo). GIVEN they’d should be very dead by that point, but i’m curious.

This is a good idea, but My bet is on the st.lp making them leave stun so that the super still combos, but they are out of stun when it’s done! Will check it out though!
okay, confirmed, st.lp will air reset off of meat squasher stun but will still hit (so st.mp is best in this case for damage, but not for scaling if it an issue which it probably is). BUT the back breaker after super can stun, so you can get close to stun, then cr.lp xx super, then link bb or cancel into bb and THAT can stun into whatever combo, with like 45% scaling give or take.
I’m not sure if someone already posted a list like this, but I’ve compiled one that shows on what characters’ fireballs Hugo can jump on and block.
This inspired me: [details=Spoiler]

I don’t think he can empty jump and get a free block. It’s that his hurt box is different to what his animation indicates.
If I’m wrong please let me know though.

@crazydiamond Just letting you know that you can empty jump and get a free block.
You can even jump on Deejay’s EX air slasher and block both hits when landing in between hits.
Wow that’s cool. So that means Hugo can jump risk free for those projectiles.
Can anyone else in the game do this?

I think DeeJay can do it against Dhalsim, but it might be neutral jump only.
I just learned that Meat Squasher shuts down all of Balrog’s rush punches.

Good tech!
