Damn, six episodes in shit got real. I gotta get some sleep but killgrave is real man.
It isn’t as dark as daredevil. That in itself wouldn’t make it better or worse but I feel more attached to the characters here as opposed to DD (well not Rosario). That damn cop was annoying though.
It has its moments were its dragging its feet. It actually took me two days to get through the last half of the last episode, because i kinda figured how it was going to end and wasnt interested. I finished it, and it was a straight episode. I wasnt shocked by anything in the ending, but it was a solid ending. DD’s last episode was undeniably better, regardless of my like for jj over dd (which is a like over dd not by much. I’m still frothing at the mouth for dd season 2).
For me, i was all eyes until like the last 2 episodes. After the end of episode 10, i was like, bruh. lol
Just my opinion the world doesn’t feel as dark, there is a more playful tone at times in JJ that I never really got from DD. I’ll run through DD again, as I been meaning to anyway.
Kilgrave is a great villian though, I am not saying he isn’t. Actually now that I think about it, the death is more real and more of a present danger in JJ than in DD. So yea JJ would be darker.
Do you think it’ll even happen that soon?
It’ll really change the dynamic of the shows adding a pregnancy then kid.
Not that it’d be terrible but JJ is like the only well written female “Super Hero” to date, and the only one with a really successful solo show.
This is getting so hard to finish, this cop guy is totally outta synch with the show, its like the show is trying to be somewhat serious and this asshole is going full ham and wasting the atmosphere.
Also JJ getting Kilgrave to go straight, holy shit. Show is getting a provision 5/10 for effort until I summon the necessary will power to finish this shit.
overall though i liked the way that she held back while fighting and how that left her vulnerable despite her powers… imo the vulnerability of the character makes her very easy to relate to.
