How did Killgrave figure out Luke’s skin?
Luke was with Jessica the whole time after he blew up his bar right? Luke said Killgrave didn’t know about it then. Are we assuming that he did know about Luke’s power? Or did he say that and I missed it?

At that point hadn’t his father made some progress to his expanding his abilities. They didn’t realize that they needed to wait longer or something. Luke probably told him about his skin but Killgrave told him not to let Jessica know.
I don’t know but he was in JJ on several occasions.
He also appeared on her show.
I just finished watching it. Great show. From reading this thread I guess I’m the only one that actually got invested into Jessica’s character. I’ll admit her instance in keeping Kilgrave alive was annoying though. I’m kinda pissed that none of the characters never told her trying to prove mind control is a fool’s errend.
The scene with Kilgrave being in the cell with his parents wasn’t a convincing case of it imo. The police station video definitely was. Too bad that footage was deleted.
I was upset that Trish put herself through training from hell in the early episodes and it amounted to nothing at the end
Didn’t Hogarth/Trinity try and tell her that at the beginning?
She was keeping Killgrave alive to prove Hope’s innocence. That was literally the only reason. If he died first, Hope would never be released from prison.
The plan was fucked from the beginning. Should have just killed him, and saved the lives of like 500 people.

Hogarth said she wouldn’t take the case unless she had proof. Finding a collaborating witness was enough for her to jump on board but she was more interested in finding Kilgrave to use him for his power to meet her own ends.

Of course, but problem with that is that it would be a heroic action, and without getting Hogarth on board, Jess would have had no way to get away with murder.
Not like she had to kill him in front of people. She had plenty of times to do it away from a crowd.

It’s pretty telling that the Hope had to kill herself to give Jessica the motivation to do what she need to do from the very start. Kilgrave should be put into the ground after she got Malcolm to kick his drug habit
I liked Ruben a lot in this show
I wonder if Hogarth will appear in Iron Fist. The character is from his supporting cast.
The entire reason Kilgrave used Hope in the first place was to make sure that Jessica wouldn’t bother killing him. He played on her insecurities about not being a hero.
Just catching up on this show, 3 episodes in. Casting was amazing, everyone I recognize is somebody I loved in something else, and the actors I don’t recognize are still nailing it.
That said, pacing in the series seems to have been poorly handled. Also, there aren’t enough lighter human moments near the beginning to make you want to care about the protagonists. This isn’t the kind of show where that’s a good strategy, works much better in one-off noir pieces not in a 13 hour long episode series.
I agree, people complained about the Luke casting but I thought he knocked it out. I loved him in the good wife as well.
Mike Colter as Luke Cage exists to make mortal men feel inadequate.
Finished it last night and wasn’t bad the DD name drops and possible team up at the end would have been cool. When is LC show and DD S2 suppose to drop?
I think some of the support characters (Malcolm, the twins, Hope) sucked. They were annoying and a waste of time.
Fuck you, Bubbles is awesome.
