Marvel's Netflix Universe: Return of the Kingpin

Did I say I think this is an action show? My main complaint is that the series is repetitive and lacks variety of plots for the episodes. The fact action is dull (when there is any) is just another thing.

Am I the only one who hates the cop character in episode 4?

Made it to Epsiode 13,
yo…shared universe time, BITCHES!!!

loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

give him time…

Shut the fuck up already. I’m clearly addressing that “just another thing”, here, not your entire argument.

You’re complaining about the low impact of the action when the show has given every hint that it doesn’t care about having high-impact action. Jess isn’t a superhero. She’s just a woman with super strength who has better things to do than slug it out all the time.

Her sleuthing was more of the thing I was into. And the sex :stuck_out_tongue:

And I just said the action was bad, did I EVER say “the show completely sucks because the action is bad and this is an action show”? I already knew the show wasn’t an action show, it’s not up to you to come and tell that like a complete moron. Have you ever read of reading comprehension? I didn’t even fucking complained about the action until someone else pointed at that. Take your head out of your ass, and stfu, please. You suck at this.

And @CTG I think the show is boring just for the repetitive plot and nothing else. It’s not that I asked for more action. There are “not action” shows that are quite engaging and entertaining because of a good, deep, interesting and dynamic plot; this is just not one of them, it’s limping, IMO. just And on top of that… the action (when there is any) is kind of dull, but that’s very independent of the true core of the show.
But that doesn’t mean a “non action” show can’t feature good action sometimes. Being close to a number of superhero productions and set in a superhero universe, I don’t see a reason why it couldn’t. Not asking for “more action”, just when there is some, it could be better… but my actual concern is just about the plot, action is an accessory.

I haven’t seen enough of the action yet to make a decision…on one hand, Luke fighting was amazing, and even Jessica’s raw brutal style of fighting was great to watch. On the other hand, she goes into apartments, and mind controlled old ladies are able to tackle her around for a bit.

All I have to say is that Jessica Jones’ door catches more L’s than Meek Mill.

Yea, the door was a thing in the books too.

I’m loving the show, but this frame bothers me a lot.

Bruh there aren’t any trannies in this show Alex? Did you mistake Trinity for a new half?

who the fucc is jessica jones again??

do I need to know her origin or just start watching…?

Nobody is saying you said that.

As if I need a reason to call you on bullshit. Stay tore.

Just watch yo.

Im gonna Netflix and fucking the shit outta so many of homegirls to this shit lol

So I’m just at ep 1 and was like go git that luke! Break that! But Jessica was unbreakable lol but the moment I saw that girl wearing the purple bag I knew shit was gonna happen.

Been seeing ritter around in a few shows/movies and this is the first time I find her looking hot.

Ok will also be avoding this thread for a while.

Just got done. Overall great series, not as good as DD.
I agree with whomever said it, the show does feel too stretched out, maybe 2 episodes too long so it does feel repetitive many times.

Spoiler

Jessica comes face to face quite a few times with Kilgrave which left me wondering wtf just dragon punch this mofo already, but they can’t because save the cheerleader…

It was great to see Tennant do something so different, but I don’t think his character was as well fleshed out as Kingpin’s. By the middle of the season you pretty much know everything you need to know about his character, whereas Kingpin was always surprising you right till the very end.

As for the choreography, its an odd one like DD, there are some really polished set pieces like the bar fight and when…

Spoiler

Jessica fights Luke

Then there were a few not so good ones, but as someone also pointed out this clearly doesn’t set itself up to be another addition to the action genre. Considering how strong Jessica is she probably doesn’t want to turn herself into a wall when an old lady tries to tackle her lol. Shit like that should get a pass.

Spoiler

Don’t know why but they really don’t highlight her jumping ability the same way they showed off her strength. They will show her bend steel, kick people across a room, throw people through walls etc. But when she jumps its all alluded too rather than actually shown, there are no clear shots.

The show gets a B- from me.

Spoiler

lol Hope mentioned early on after she the murder of her parents that she had a 12 year old brother, I don’t recall him ever getting mentioned again, it didn’t seem like there was much consideration for him when she decided to kill herself too lol

I basically agree with everything you said. I’d just add that I didn’t care for Simpson too much.

Spoiler

I had to look up his character to find out who he was in the comics. Apparently he’s a Daredevil villain called Nuke.

I was worried about the casting choices for Jessica and Luke, but after watching the show, I see why they were chosen. Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter had great chemistry.

Hope mentions him later on in the series. Her relatives won’t let her come near him, they act as if she doesn’t exist anymore.
