Yeah, I remember that somewhat. She got like a detached retina and a broken spine or some shit. Was in a coma for months afterwards. Vision pummeled the shit out of her.
I don’t mind asking questions, all my friends are very opposite of me (no nerds, nobody knows fuck all about comics, I don’t even really have gamer friends), so I expect them to be curious and clueless. But leaving your mother fucking phone on for 2 got damn hours so I hear your text messages (phone never left his fucking hands, just put that shit on vibrate or something, show SOME courtesy). And his text message noise was this:
every fucking minute pretty much.
I like chats, I can just close the chat window or mute it, that shit is kinda fun. But when you ask to come watch a show, then spend 2 hours fucking texting people and making me hear those fucking noises…and this fucker wonders why I would never watch Walking Dead with him.
I’m watching the crazy bar fight in episode two, and he’s texting his baby momma. How hard is it to tell people ‘hey watching a movie, I’ll give you a shout in a bit’.
Only got through episode 1 where the daughter kills the parents at the end. Good episode. What I don’t get is why the powers that be had a sex scene but didn’t show anything? We saw a guy getting his head bashed in by Kingpin but we can’t see tits…
Because at the end of the day, Marvel is still publicly known as a Disney company.
I’m more surprised that they showed the type of sex they showed at all. JJ and Luke weren’t making love, they were outright screwing. Same thing with Trish and Simpson. Who ever thought they’d ever put that type of stuff in a Marvel movie?
Not sure what you were looking for - maybe more action? If so, JJ was never going to work for you. Even in the books, it was more about investigation and mental games than straight up brawling like you saw in Daredevil and Winter Soldier.
Nah, more plot threads and some more interesting ones… All the show features a single big challenge to overcome and it seems everything’s about stretching that thing and delaying the final showdown the more they can. It’s repeating once and again how powerful Kilgrave is and how afraid is Jessica, it’s just… you know, repetitive.
Also, support plots are way too boring and inconsequential, I didn’t care at all about Trinity’s divorce, Jessica’s friend and her bed adventures or that drug addict dude, that’s pretty boring. Well, provided I’ve only watched the first 7 episodes.
And yeah, the action sort of sucks, too. Jessica pushing some guys into furniture and that’s all, well, yeah, boring.
Oh yeah and Quicksilver in DOFP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Age of Ultron Quicksilver.
All the things you mentioned become more relevant, but I can agree that they take a bit long to get there.
People don’t think Disney when they think Miramax. That’s the entire reason large companies setup separate studios, so they parent brand doesn’t dictate the content they release.
Again, Marvel is recognized as a Disney company to the general public, similar to how Star Wars is now recognized as a Disney franchise to the average consumer. Miramax isn’t anywhere close to being publicly identified as a Disney company to that same consumer.
I didn’t like First Class either. DOFP was tolerable. The last X-Men movie I really enjoyed was X2 and even that was full of issues.
I am looking forward to the FX Legion series though. I don’t remember what network the Hellfire Club joint is supposed to air on, but it went a long way to dampening my excitement for it.
I feel like this show exists to set up characters more interesting than Jessica Jones like Luke Cage and Killgrave in the MCU.
The fight choreography does suck. All she does is throw dudes around and maybe goes for a gut punch. I’m not asking for Jackie Chan levels of choreography but at least have some interesting fights.
