This emulator is good, but u need superb speed and memory to use it well. I suggest buying a DC and burning the game u wanna play. But thats my opinion. I know you all want online play, but just wait. I’m betting that capcom re-releases mvc2 for Xbox with online play, if fans ask enough for it.
that’ll probably change soon, it gets better and better every release and its only on the 3rd release.
I’m surprised they have been silent for so long. I’m looking foward to future releases.

After I load it up, and go to start, it says “dreamcast” and freezes everything. Then it changes all my display settings to crap that looks worse than windows in safe mode, and says to restart to restore the settings. Anyone had this problem? Little help?

no one would know that… theres no date set on these types of things… theres rumor at ver 1.0 it should be ready for online play though.

They said they think by 1.0 they will have Netplay, and also there are players who will only play the arcade version of MvC2 because there are things that simply do not make a difference in high level game play, like an Anakaris/Cyclops infinite…yeah Anak is going to help you win tournaments. Anyways, yeah tiny little things here and there make the “elite” players not like the DC version. It’s all in their heads.

why is ikagura only 17 megs
but everything else is 234 megs 512 megs etc I don’t get it?
unzipped ikagura is 960 megs ??? WTF?

It could be a ripped version of the game, IE no videos etc, but I really only ever experienced that with PSX games.

It doesn’t really matter what format the iso is in. You run them mounted on a virtual drive anyway. It’s not like epsxe where it runs the iso’s directly. Unless you have a bin, in which case it means it’s nonselfboot so you have to fix it before you can mount it. Cdi’s, mdf’s, etc can also be nonselfboot if they were posted by some yahoo though.
The size of the games depends on the size of the original game and the amount of garbage that’s been ripped out.

I’m going to dl 3rdstrike how does that play as laggy as mvc2 or more like cvs2?
any tips for speedups guys?
I not sure if I’m crazy or not but a few of these tips worked:
1]installed and ran disk keeper
2]capcom hack
3]set to high priority (does it make a difference)
4]set PC resolution to 800 x 600
5]deleted all unecessary icons from desktop
cvs2 runs the best for me too. for mvc2 you should underclock or overclock the sh4… just press “-” or '+" on your numpad and you should get some speed ups, underclocking to 84 gives me more speed in mvc2, high priority helps and also full screen, and not running any unecessary programs in the background.
