Ah Snap! Win2k ability coming soon…you foo’s will see some TRUE sprite capturing!

<---- Like Spiral!

P4 1.6 Ghz
GeForce 2 MX
256 mb Ram.

Tried running new emulator and tried to get shenmue to work… was running smoothly until after the sega copyright screen… haha. turned black and this small box popped up sayin’ “IoControl error.”

http://www.chanka.org/
looks like next ver will have win2k support and fullscreen

could some1 hack the rom and add evil ryu, mechakuma and the sf vs x-men verison of charcters in the game? like replace that crappy mvc2 ryu with sfvsxmen ryu?!

lmao that’d be funny… xvsf ryu in mvc2… i wonder if it could be done? probably not

No way in Hell.

Fantom CD is much better than Daemon’s tool.

All I did was mount the game into the virtual drive and start the DC emu, and it works without all that selecting drive stuff.

When I try to set it up on my computer (2.4 Ghz, 496 MB of RAM), the Bios runs fine and the DC menu works…but when I try to load a game using Daemon’s virtual driver, it crashes.

Should using Fantom CD fix this?

Does anyone know how full screen works? I have v0.2a but I can’t see anywhere to find the option.

I really don’t know, I haven’t used Daemon since I know of Fantom CD, but wouldn’t hurt to give it a try, should be easy to find on p2p searches.

I think I just jizzed my pants. Although I’m not sure why, I have a DC. Must be the win2k support, woot woot!

Yo omg…I’m having the same exact problem as Cletus Kasady…if somebody helps me on aim(xinyczdaveix)…I will be really glad…please if you do know what is going on help me…I’m in a desperate need of chanka!!!

What’s Fantom CD? Should I be using that instead?

I tried Fantom CD and Daemon tools, they both don’t work in Win2k. Daemon tools did work, however, in XP on the same exact laptop. I imagine the latest Fantom would work as well (the one that can handle cdi images).

I got CVS2 to work on 0.2a w/ the capcom hack. Constant speed of around 50. Training mode run smoothly, rest is a bit slower. The sprites have some lines around them though  (IF you need a screenshot I’ll try to provide one.)

Comp specs:

P4 1.6 Ghz
256 ddr ram

Using:

Alcohol 120%

What kind of image are you using? When I use 120% I mount the image ,then it loads ,but chankast crashes after the swirl logo. Im using that 3 in one capcom game in .cdi format.

new ver of chanka is to come out probably this week… supposedly it’ll be able to play stuff on lower end pc’s(600-700 mhz)… if this is true, god damn.

is there anything like this for xbox games? because i dont have any dreamcast games.

If you don’t have any games, ask your friends for some.
Original GD-roms are of no use, so you can only really use the cd images, which are downloadable. Seriously, do you need snes cartridges to use the emulators? Do the cartridges do you any good? no…

The only real good use of DC emulation that I can foresee will be online play. Other than that, it’s a toy.

Holy scheisse. Please oh please, they HAVE to enable a frame rate limit.

Matt

you know you can just overclock or underclock the sh4 in the emu if it’s going too fast for you, right? try - or + on the numpad in game until you get a decent fps.
