“Dignification” seems to be what a majority of people tend to be seeking when they comment on things that have nothing to do with them. Never mind the passive “leave him alone” before that. This alone was an underhanded insult that was meant to irk or insult me otherwise, wheather you intended for me to respond or not. There’s not much more to be said. MvC1 is a dead game, I can’t prove anything until they start having tourneys in that game again. And it’s not gonna happen.

Also shouldn’t WM have more options against Wolvie? I know if you fly Wolverine can just wave dash under and superjump->combo. But with WM you could always catch him with a fly.lk->u+hp->infinite. Or c.hp->fly so he has an obstacle before advancing.
I don’t know. Those are just questions. I don’t know too much about MvC.

The problem is that a lot of the new generation doesn’t have respect for any of the old school SF players. I was playing CS on xbox live and Valle was in a game with me. We start talking about SF and i happen to mention MVC2. This other guy is like “yo u play marvel. I know that nigga j.wong he’s the nicest SF player ever.” I was like “yes, wong is nice at marvel, but u r playing CS with one of the SF legends. The whole reason we have a scene” and he was like “i don’t give a fuck. my nigga j.wong is the illest player.”, and all i could think is that he obviously knew nothing of the scene and had no respect for those that came b4 him and kept this shit alive.
But koop at the same time some of these young ones are coming into this shit mad quick, and have a decent handle on the fundamentals of the game. I remember 2 yrs ago i went to CTF and got my ass handed to me by this 12 yr old kid playing 3s. He just used basic shit and beat me (well at the same time i was using sean:p ).
Yes, it’s sad to see the majority of the new cats not have respect, but at the same time there is a handful of youth that do show respect to the elder SF players. The future isn’t all that bleak.

For Wolvie and Strider, Lou is probably their best assist as it really helps with their rushdown.
Wolvie’s BnB is cr jab/short, cr forward, cr fierce, berserker barrage X.
Strider’s bnB is cr/standing forward, standing fierce, standing roundhouse, Fierce/RH ghram.

all ill say in this thread is.
wolv can 1 touch death. ITS NOT HARD TO DO INF. i do it like magneto xvsf ROM inf on stick, just alter the buttons, works perfectly. when at corner, hold stick down for a c.lk c.mp s.mk s.mk c.hp(resets) s.hk (launch). sj lp lk mk (pause) headstomp (back down). NOW DEPENDING ON THE CHARACTER, THERE ARE DIFFERENT RESETS. if ur interested just post.
also after BBX, (except for wolv) there are OTG combos (see above) that are character specific, that WILL RESET and break flying screen for u to air combo, super, or even double team (for damage+safe tag+guard break)
war machine should be that low by any means. sure strider can duo, but war machine is one of the ONLY characters that CANNOT be orb reset juggled. his sprite flips out and allows him to block safely. adding to that, he can sj and air dash up, which wastes 80% of ur orb time. and its not mvc2, u cant lock him down with orbs forever. flight mode owns it too.
strider isnt as great vs wolv as you ppl might think. I KNOW im gonna get flamed for this, but lets look at facts here. there are different wolv playing styles, ill list a few.
grabbing wolvie - jump in block, land mp throw, IF miss, cancel into col. now this throw, does HELLA damage, like gambit kick grab but a lil more. as an mvc2 player, if u mash this like out of tempest, it OWNS if he keeps jumping back and hp, air grab that. just dont get predictable for the turtle launch.
crossup wolvie - wolv’s dash is fast enough to go around, and start inf/combo. he can also dash under, cross over here (double cross) and headstomp. and if u really wanna catch him and hes about to die, dash around and s.mkx2 him (while hes in the air) c.hkxxfatal claw.
as we all should know a good spaced fatal claw will kill an almost dead strider, so at around 30% and below u shouldnt worry about a strider with orbs, keep dashing close.
thats about all i have for now. i ALSO disagree with gambit soo low. he owns gwm, does ok vs wm, has a good inf into reset, and not a bad duo (can cross up and chip with explosion).
Any you can show me where I can download some of the oldschool MvC1 matchups, I was watching the old Ecc matchups on youtube…but damn, they mess up my eyes pretty damn badly.
Any help would be great, also would be cool to see a Assist Tier Listing too.
