(Sigh. So many omitted words in that last post. Fixed.)
Oh, huh. I see. Interesting. I do need to learn more about Egyptian mythology, but I’m glad that I was able to recognize those names off the top of my head, especially since I’ve been meaning to learn more about Bast for entirely different reasons. Now I’ve even more incentive.
Given po pimpus mentioned Marvel rescuing actors from shitty movies, I find it rather amusing that this means that Boseman has now played at least two characters related to Egyptian mythology then. It’s good to see that the ill-fated decision by whoever got him stuck in that crapfest that was Gods of Egypt didn’t end up biting him in the ass, especially since that horrible movie was only three months earlier this year. I guess Egyptian movies by Hollywood never being about anyone but white people helped saved his ass though, as did playing was probably a relatively minor part given the whole “Black Guy Dies First” rule that I’m sure his version of Thoth didn’t escape.
I am like 2 years late for Guardians of the Galaxy, but man, that ending is bullshit.
If you just saved the planet and you got your hands on the most powerful weapon in the entire universe, you wouldn’t just settle for a pardon and a ship when you could have gotten 4 billion dollars.
Nova corp should have given them shit load of money + lifetime free access to the best vacation resort on Xandar and shit. What nova corp did is not how people treat the saviors of their planet.
Mercenaries don’t do shit for free, I can’t believe GotG settled for so little.
