Civil War was dope. The pacing was great as well as the showdowns. I do admit when Sharon Carter frenched Cap I cringed a little. Dude is plowing through the Carter family line with reckless abandon.
Black Panther was great. Perfect casting. I like his story arc how he discarded blind revenge for justice. His suit looked amazing and I liked the scene where the helicopter gunner shoots at him and bullets ricochet off his suit. I need some vibranium-laced material for undergarments. lol
My only minor gripe was teen Peter Parker being too comically awkward for my tastes. Felt like a cutaway to a Woody Allen biopic after 3 minutes. However, as Spider-Man he was fantastic and they really made good use of his character. Every scene with him was quite fun to watch.
Cap v. Stark Showdown was great, but it was obvious they had to put Vision on the back burner because he was too broken; he was spectating half the fight. Other than Scarlet Witch, no one would be able to convincingly challenge him.
AoS is currently dealing with a humanity destroying inhuman, they could really use at least one of the mid-tier Avengers at least considering the stakes.
I love Natalie Portman but the woman isn’t a nerd for these roles nor cares for these roles. It’s the same thing with Star Wars again. She wanted nothing to do with it after it was done. She played her part and we’re moving on.
(Good riddance to Jane Foster’s character. She honestly seemed like the most tacked-on love interest of any of the “major” love interests.)
I don’t hate the character or her or anything, especially since I still haven’t even seen the first Thor movie, but she honestly was more of a plot device than a person in Thor: The Dark World anyway and so literally added nothing there. If anything, then this is a positive announcement really.
goes back to basking in the fan-girl hate over Steve kissing Sharon/Sharon kissing Steve in Civil War given it’s on-topic
