Jennifer isn’t some built muscle queen. She’s a fairly average(in some cases kind of pudgy or skinny) lawyer.
The muscles don’t fly out until she flips that green switch.
I wonder how’d they do it. She’s not monstrous enough to warrant full CG, and if they do they’d run into some serious uncanny valley issues, and she’s too big to just be an actress painted green. Maybe they’d have to really on camera angles and a high detail muscle suit or something…

As far as the MCU and its writers were concerned they didn’t exist in universe yet, so I wouldn’t consider that a valid point.
They would do the same shit with Hulk. Ruffalo isn’t exactly nerdy looking. You throw glasses on Rhonda and dress her frumpy, then CGI her as She-Hulk, with her unitard bikini. Having Rhonda means you don’t have to train an actress how to fight well when she does CGI scenes, or use an extra actress.
Naaa, she still grows a bit. You’d CGI her a bit, also because a lot of her fight scenes would require it. Closeups and shit you just use Rhonda in good makeup and proper camera angles and movie techniques to save money.
Except timeline wise, Daredevil was beating up SOME people (criminals, child molesters, etc) and had been trained by Stick, before it went down.
Luke, who knows. He may have been around for it, his story isn’t known enough to know for sure.
Strange, of course, he’s still a fucking neurosurgeon or whatever.
Daredevil was getting his ass kicked by one ninja, he ain’t up to fighting alien armies yet, he need’s some more Stick tech. He’s street level and not Avenger level yet, for a reason.
She’s a lawyer, she doesn’t need to look like she knows how to fight well because she doesn’t really. Same reason Ruffalo as Banner, a scientist, didn’t need to be played by a trained fighter.
Ruffalo looked average enough to pass as a nerd, and was not built like a professional athlete, that’s completely different. And even then, I think they should have picked someone more lanky instead.
Did they ever give us a timeline on DD’s initial antics in the show? And even then, that’s him without his batons and armored suit and Fisk arc.
Luke and Strange have no set timelines on their power acquisitions yet as far as I know, Strange’s origin could canonically happen before Avengers for all we know and lead into the present times. Same with Iron Fist.
A skilled fighter vs a skilled fighter with better weapons 1-on-1 isn’t really comparable to a skilled fighter with Cap, Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye as back-up vs a bunch of alien/robot jobbers with stormtrooper aim and inferior fighting abilities.

When you consider that Marvel has a hatred of anyone who actually DOES try to use their genius for shit… Instead of Whedon who goes after anyone likable, Marvel goes after anyone smart. For all of Parker’s MANY flaws, and I’m sure you and Rock could go on a 20 page thesis on it, I’d pretend to be dumb too in that universe.
its just more annoying when the spiderman stands love to preach on how smart he is. these needs put him in tony stark reed richards tier of intelligence. like there is more evidence of how stupid he is than he is smart. especially since spider sense should cut half his stupity…theirs instances where he states he flat out ignores his spidersense. in theory he should be one of the most broken ass characters in comics.

As for a timeline, they establish it was recent, with mentioning how it went down. Somebody mentions last summer. He also mentions his first adventure (beating up the molester) being before then. Mind you, he was obviously pretty much a dude with a t-shirt wrapped around his face, and all black sweats on.
Them placing their movies before and after and all that is a confusing prospect, I don’t see that happening. Everything they release seems to follow a timeline, so as to not step on any toes or create continuity issues, I don’t see them introducing the chance for that happening yet. Although Time gem could throw that out the window lol.
As for Strange, they established he hadn’t proven himself as anything more than an important person due to an algorithm, in Winter Soldier.
edit: Thor also mentioned the gems that are in play, in Avengers 2, implying the other events haven’t occured yet.
