Been years. With Dan Slotts at the helm of Spider-Man for the foreseeable future he’ll stay like this because Peter isn’t allowed to have a life outside of Spider-Man. He must always pick one or the other even though every other caped Hero does both perfectly fine. Especially if you’re one of the genius types since you get mad cash just for super heroing up.

Bruce Still does his Social duties when he has too. He will still play as Bruce Wayne no problem, he just prefers to be Batman, and has no real responsibilities outside of Batman shit.
He isn’t the most mentally adjusted individual either, but he still does both fine, maybe not perfect, but good enough.
All his meaningful relationships crash and burn because of him lol. He’s good at pretending he is socially adjusted, but he’s really pathetic at actual social interaction. Even his adoptive family can’t stand him 90% of the time.
Thats less to do with juggling his two lives and more with him being an mentally unstable dick.

Wait, are you discussing parker or Wayne? Both characters lost loved ones and that traumatized their childhood, so kinda like same-difference in a sense. Maybe not.
Otto ran a company, something he already had experience with (and that Parker doesn’t), lived a good civilian life (yet again, the joys of not caring about those around you and having $$$), and was a Spider-Man that didn’t mind killing or needing morals. In the end he gave up his powers back to Peter, because he realized only Peter could properly be Spider-Man. You can’t run a business and worry about your loved ones. As soon as Otto became more and more like Parker, he realized just how truly challenging it was to be Spider-Man AND Peter Parker.
Parker had his problems because he tries to balance his life with doing what’s right. If Parker decided “fuck responsibilities” he could easily kick ass in life too. It’s not like he’s Reed Richards, getting corporate sponsors in order to do his thing. And Parker isn’t even that smart in the Marvel heirarchy. Anything he could do is pretty much overshadowed by what Reed, Stark, and other’s can do.
Though Toby nailed it apart from his outrageous emo moment in the shitty 3rd movie. Garfield was just complete shit at all levels though, and again didnt help his movies were trash too. Meh actual high schooler in HS? This could be a Hollywood first, am actually quite hype to see how this shit turns out now lol.
Parker is overshadowed by the Big Eight, intelligence-wise, but he isn’t too far behind.
Big Eight > Parker and other super needs > typical top scientists > everyone else, etc. Something like that. He’s still have to be like, top 20.
They never really show it though…I mean, Reed is making fucking dimensional portals, Stark is making symbiote based armor, and Parker makes webslingers and spider-themed gadgets. Not really keeping up with the other geniuses.

He’s one of the characters I wish they would use a hell of a lot more, instead of making black versions of current characters. I mean, you got this beast black guy just chilling with nearly Godlike powers since the mid-20th century, and instead you gotta find a way to make Falcon into Captain America…really?
Bucky was his childhood friend, and one of the few people who truly knew Steve better than anybody else. And at least he had proper super hero powers and such. I didn’t like it though, tbh.
My point is I’d rather see NEW heroes, or expand on current heroes, rather than just swap races occasionally for ‘progress’.
Sam Wilson is his best friend and was his partner for all the years Bucky was thought dead and even afterwards… If anything he was probably more qualified for the job than Bucky was.
Bucky knew Cap before he was Cap. Don’t even try to equate a childhood friend from FROM OVER A CENTURY AGO with a dude he only got to know recently, and only as Cap.
No but I will equate that Sam Wilson was Captain America’s partner for FAR longer than Bucky who was too busy being dead…I mean, being the Winter Soldier.

Pretty sure it is still Bendis, but whatever I am actually glad they pulling Slott from the book, he had gotten long in the tooth on Amazing in my opinion.
