Wait, so this movie gets more characters than Avengers 2, but the person who’s been in the most MCU properties isn’t even going to bother showing up?
i have to believe coulson is showing up if no nick fury. it makes no sense we got cap/iron man/bones and no real shield leadership…unless…ugh…robin is showing up.
Ironically she’s not even in Shield anymore either. She works directly for the Avengers.
Is Shield just going to be conspicuously absent from Civil War of all things?
I can’t imagine Shield didn’t take a MASSIVE blow after Winter Soldier.
Well…yeah, they did. Agents of Shield has gone through 1 and a half seasons of dealing with the fallout. The discovery of Inhumans isn’t making life any easier either.
Agreed, his intelligence isn’t really touched on but it is there.
Not many people can create an overide to an existing override developed by Tony Stark, for example.
It’s a shame we had have Otto step in and use Peter’s brain for him.
I wonder if wonder man would ever just be used in anything. Or a captain universe as a singular person
I dunno…his they already fucked up the death of Wonder Man, and giving his brain patterns to Ultron. What’s the point now, even?
I’m curious who besides Death will show up, from the cosmic pantheon, in Doctor Strange.
my only guess is, maybe in 50 years they might make a secret wars movie with The Beyonder.

If Marvel levels off but still make millions and wind up having two or three of the biggest blockbusters of each year, you might see Beyonder and Secret Wars within 25. Hell what better way for a reboot…
theres def gonna be a superhero movie burnout soon. their doing the movie version of summer comic events…mainstream media isnt ready for a constant movie series with overlaying plotline that covers 10 movies.
Well Marvel’s doing their best to at least change up the genre within their Universe, how successful it will continue to be in keeping things fresh though remains to be seen.
But DC’s gonna wreck it for everyone.
I do think it would be smart of them to hit the breaks after they do the next Avengers wrap up.
I doubt they will. They’d be giving up free money and also wasting crucial years for certain actors who can only do this for so long.
Marvel’s going to go until it does collapse. The problem is just that, while they’re aware of how this sort of thing can go due to Comics having similar burnout issues and are planning accordingly with the changes in genre for multiple films, you have a bunch of other studios trying to get in on the dogpile without knowing what the fuck they’re doing and they’re going to bring the castle down.
DC’s arrogance is going to destroy us all, even if their movies ARE good.
It is a drop in the bucket when you look at it in that sense…but you can’t look at it in that sense. Not a ton of people go to the movies a bunch. So you add the fact that Marvel does 2 a year, Fox will do 1 a year assuming they don’t drop licenses, Sony will show up periodically (though we’ll see how much Marvel takes that into account with their own scheduling) on top of DC’s 1-2 a year fare. Plus you also essentially have to take other blockbuster movies into account since they often share demographics.
That is a lot to take in every year. Even if you have people ignoring the DC fare and the stuff like the F4 reboot, the amount of movies that people are expected to go to now has risen to what, 3-5 a year compared to the old 2.
And again, have to take other blockbusters into account, especially now that Jurassic World has outsold Avengers 1 (which has now turned Chris Pratt suddenly into the hottest leading man in Hollywood).
You don’t HAVE to go to the movies. I’ve seen maybe half the Marvel movies in theaters and I can keep up just fine. Hell my 50 year old mother is up to speed and she sees less of them in theaters then I do.

I know you don’t have to, I don’t go to many of them myself because I’m poor. But it’s going to become a problem for studios if people start becoming more complacent about going.
Oh, I don’t expect them to stop. Like I said, they running that shit until it goes down and it’d be more foolish not to.
If it does go down, it’s honestly not even Marvel’s fault. They’re doing it the correct way.

Competition is a part of business. No one’s holding a gun to anyone’s head saying “WATCH THE FUCKING MOVIE”. If your product is good enough and promoted well, then people will watch. Hell, people still throw tons of money at Michael Bay despite his shit track record.
Plus the US isnt even the biggest market anymore. The money is in Asia. Asian audiences love this shit. So you’re going to keep seeing them.
american eats it up as well…doesnt mean they both wont get burnt out. there isnt currently a burnout going on…so its weird your saying it like asia cant burn out soon either.
watch before it gets erased from the web…also…dat iron spiderman sighting
