the fact that coulson was absent in AoU kinda gives me the impression that they are going to keep it a one way relationship only. AoS obviously is based on the movie continuity so the show has to acknowledge the movies, but it doesn’t look like they are going to have the movies acknowledge the show.
[details=Spoiler]The death had two purposes in the story: 1) Redemption for Quicksilver, who’d helped get the whole thing going, and 2) completing Hawkeye’s “mortality” storyline.
Hawkeye’s possible death is so VERY HEAVILY foreshadowed through the movie. We find out he’s got a kid, a wife. He’s “only” a well-trained guy out there risking his life among people who are basically technological, mythical or biological gods. He’s so much squishier than most of the team, and unlike Widow he’s actually risking a happy life to do this.
He’s ready to give his life to save a random citizen, and instead it’s one of the gods who goes down to save HIM. Simultaneously humbling and reaffirming.[/details]
[details=Spoiler] It was interesting seeing Ultron having a Vibranium body instead of adamantium, I’m assuming maybe it has to due with the fact that it is in the X-men movies. Ultron was actually the first reference to adamantium in Avengers #66.
I was thinking they made vibranium look weak, he was getting fucked up while he was getting shot at. Then I thought he is getting hit by Thor, Ironman, and a fucking infinity gem and that is actually quite a beating. Vibranium usually absorbs energy, the exact limit is unknown (A lot).
The vibranium wasn’t used on Ultron himself, as far as I know. He was fusing it with bio-stuff to make Vision’s body, which was supposed to become his body. And of course to make the bigass drill he was going to drop on the Earth.
Whenever someone is being vulgar at work (beong that I’m at Disneyland) and I can hear it clearly, I usually reply “Language please” to remind them where they are at. Now thanks to the movie (haven’t seen it but was spoiled regardless) everyone assumes I’m just quoting it from said movie.
[details=Spoiler]He mentioned being in a stronger body and Iron Man even acknowledges this by asking if he has been drinking vibranium cocktail when he sees his new body. Also I’m pretty sure he makes a reference for using the vibranium they get earlier for it (the left overs).
Also no way in hell his body isn’t vibranium taking those blasts from Thor, Vision, Iron Man, then being decked by Hulk.[/details]
No, it was, Stark said Ultron had been putting adamantium on his body and he looked “puffy”, it seems his body was only covered with some pieces of vibranium that fell off after he received the beams
Irrelevant? Not at all. Gives great back story and shows the effects of the movies to the rest of the world. Also it debuted a fucking Avenger, how is that irrelevant? Lol. Now whether they use her in the movies has yet to be seen, but in the comics she is an Avenger and associated with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Oh, they totally do. But if living in a fantasy where the AoU show is important for MCU’s fate makes you happier, go on and keep watching the show. Peace.
It’s like those Marvel comic events, they release the main story books, then several other comics are affected. Gotta read them all to get the whole story.
Not blasphemy. Hawkeye had a family in the Ultimate universe.
I saw the movie last night. I was disappointed that the movie rushed Ultron development. It was evil from the moment it was “born” and hastily made the decision to do eliminate the avengers. He made himself a body in real short order. I’m little confused about his base on the church. Was it one Von Stucker’s bases that he took over? I hope the extended run gives Ultron more natural development than the theatrical release.
Wished the Banner/Widow romance wasn’t in the movie. It didn’t do anything for neither character and felt forced.
[spoiler=]I was disappointed with Quicksilver’s death. There was plenty of potential for him in future films.[/spoiler]
