Don’t forget, Loki had scenes cut from the movie. The more I hear about it, it sounds like Marvel is forcing directors to do exactly as their told, and it’s causing issues with some of them lol. Although Whedon is also a nutbag now, it seems.
so out of curiousity, if u take the gem out of visions head, does he still exist, or no???
Not as a Marvel Cinematic Universe main villain. I dunno if you’ve paid attention to the upcoming movie list, but they’re dedicating two movies to the whole roster fighting against Thanos.
Loki is certainly A villain, and he’s clearly going to be important in the third Thor flick. Would be pretty impossible for him not to be, considering where he’s at at the end of The Dark World.
But the Loki of the Norse sagas has always been more of an opportunistic trickster than an outright villain. He’s sometimes a villain, sometimes an ally, and sometimes just a smarmy douchebag on the sidelines. From what I’ve seen of the Loki in the Marvel comics, he (sometimes she) is more OFTEN a straight-up villain, but not always.
There’s no guarantee that Loki’s even going to be the big bad in Thor: Ragnarok.
The movie was also already two hours and twenty minutes long. They had to cut it down to size for the cinemas. I’m 90 percent certain that the three-hour cut is going to be a better movie, but you also have the opportunity to see that at home, with access to a pause button.
Liked how nonchalant and witty Ultron was, which was surprising because comic Ultron always seemed very robotic and cold aside from his daddy issues.
I hope that alternate ending will retcon that death at the end. I don’t even understand how they died(I literally understand how they died, of course, but that’s not what I mean),they pushed a full sized car in front of people to save when there is absolutely no way he didn’t have even more time to just carry the people out of harms way. Even if you use the “well maybe they were just dumb” excuse, they literally have a god damn human cell repairer and printer that is so advanced it can make synthetic human-androids, and it’s at their HQ, and they have multiple high-shelf scientists at their disposal that can definitely either run the thing or figure out how to run the thing(or use the walking super-computer to do it for maximum efficiency). They could of certainly hauled the fresh corpse back and threw it in the magic healing pool.
I don’t even like that character that much, though I like them better in this movie than I do in the comics, I still felt their death was needless and not even that dramatic or weighted.
always a possibility and makes a better set-up for an avengers sequel using specific artifacts that they will be fighting over [soul gem anyone?] if you think about it.
the placement of the gem in the movie is more of a macguffin than anything else. in the comics, that is a solar jewel for absorption of solar power for his body. imo, he most likely will continue to exist even upon removing the gem in the next few films as it merely enhances his base powers which allowed him to fuck up all of the ultron minions.
so I didn’t catch one thing, anyone can fill me in?
[details=Spoiler] near the end, when hawkeye gives that speech to scarlet witch about being an avenger, then she comes out and owns stuff.
quicksilver comes, ,says something to hawkeye and takes her away and hawkeye is left walking alone mumbling stuff and the audience was laughing but i didn’t really hear what either said. What did he tell him ? and he said after ? [/details]
I doubt that they will have the movie universe ever acknowledge the tv show, which means tahiti project is off the table for a movie quicksilver… now they might bring him onto the show with it, that might be cool.
God damn though this movie was soooo good. i loved the banter at the end before thor left;
“put the hammer on an elevator will it still go up?”
“elevators not worthy”
“nobody would know… oh that quick kid must have got crushed by one of ultrons robots or something” in his defense quicksilver just called him an old man
‘Dat Sheild was the Best Supporting Actor of this Movie!!
The Cap and Thor team up assists were just OP’ed as hell, lol!!
[details=Spoiler] Caught it twice this weekend. I might see one more time but it will be IMAX.
Once again Mahvel!! knocks it out the park. Age of Ultron was action packed with the right blend of humor and drama. Ultron…in all his forms and Vision looked as cool and as bad-ass, as the action they carried out.
Ultron takes the “Best Looking while being a Bad-ass Murder-Bot” award from the Terminator.
Thankfully, there was just a mid credit scene. And WOOHOO!!! Boy…!!!
Someone’s taking the…”You want something done, do it yourself… while wearing a certain Gantlet!!” route for Phase 3.

okay, one peeve i have about AoU was the fact that hawkeye is married… to someone else other than mockingbird? WTF?! blasphemy!!! and adrienne palicki is mad hot, should have snuck her in there even as a cameo.
with so many plot tie-ins to the MCU that are worked into key episodes of the AoS tv series, where did you get the idea of NOT acknowledging the show? so many possibilities in THIS universe…
