Bring back James Franco to play Norman Osborn with the corn rolls he rocked in Spring Breakers.
I watched Into the Spider-Verse again since my Dad hasn’t seen it. It such a damn good movie. Something that I didn’t pick up on was how they use The Prowler’s theme notes each time he’s on the screen.
The reveal of who he actually was both from the score and visuals were well done.

Spider-verse is solid. The animation style just oozes charm and personality. The soundtrack (“official” and “movie”) is absolute fire. Miles growth as a character and as spider-man was beautiful well done.
They did a great job. It’s easily my favorite spider-man movie.

I was concerned that the other “Spider-men” would overshadow his development. Great that it wasn’t the case. This next MCU Spider-man movie has some big shoes to fill.

Gwen, Peter and Miles were the pillars for the movie, for sure. But even with Peter, Gwen, Noire, Ham and Peni also being main characters in the movie they were all there to give different outlooks and perspectives to Miles on what a good person and a hero needs to be. They all added to his growth. They didn’t distract or takeaway from the overall plot.
Even Aunt May, Mile’s Uncle and his parents were all apart of Miles growth as a person and a hero.
Just really well done.

The only thing I haven’t liked about Into the Spiderverse’s animation was the decision to go with 12 frames per second. It looks a little weird and jarring and a bit low budget. Everything else makes up for this minor gripe tho.
I take it as an artistic choice to reinforce it is a comic book movie. There are some scenes were it’s deliberately changed for dramatic effect.

One thing that I don’t care for that’s an artistic choice is the out of focus elements separate the red and blue.

Finally saw it. Moment with all the female avengers was pretty cool.
The movie starting with Hawkeye’s family getting snapped and ending with Tony’s funeral and leaving his daughter behind was way too much for my wife and I. Can’t be leaving my tiny one like that.
Pretty great from beginning to end. Captain Marvel has all the personality of a Two by Four. What little she had to do was a bit annoying. “Yeah yeah sure, earth is having trouble but so are other places, so I’ll be out for the next 2 hours and 50 minutes.”
It was kind of goofy. Not sure if I needed to see Ms Marvel to make sense of it, but it was meh. Same with her single handedly fucking up Sanctuary with lol powers. Sure a lot of the series is lol powers but w/e.
The time travel stuff didn’t bother me. Just decided to turn off my brain and have fun with it. The one thing that was goofy was the Nebula to Nebula connection. Why does her brain have a wifi connection to her former brain…?
Other than that, pretty great all around. How we got to the ending was a bit contrived and long to almost boring at times but I mostly just had a lot of fun. Solid 8/10.

I am really trying to go see it again this weekend, but looks like last weekend was it’s last one around here.
Totally agree. My dad hadn’t seen Captain Marvel yet so I watched it with him Saturday night. It’s not that Brie can’t act, they just didn’t really know what to do with her. She’s much better in that movie than in Endgame.

I think they dumped her for End Game cuz she was too OP, im sure the Russo’s didn’t really know what to do with her that wouldn’t get in the way. She literally punched Thanos Star Destroyer out of the sky and no sold him punching her in the mouth.
I’m more of the opinion that she didn’t have the screen time to have a personality in End Game. She was used to rescue Tony and do some bad ass shit for a moment at the end. Save the group from some Danger Close bullshit.
