The best review I have seen boiled it down to the film being stuck in the X-Men movie mold without anything new or great to say to match or surpass the source material. Which is better then the dumpster fire it looks like but still make it a subpar movie and another bullet in the chamber for Disney shelving the unreleased New Mutants or making it a streaming exclusive.
I still remember going to see Apocalypse, thinking Apoc looks like Ivan ooze, but I’ll give it a shot. I knew I was doomed when they had a little thing before the movie played thanking the audience for coming to see it. I normally only see that kind of prelude on animated flicks.
The only positive takeaway is I’m assuming the MCU saw Apocalypse and said “whatever we do for Thanos HAS to be better than that”. And it was. By a lot.
Aside from Wolverine Origins and Apocalypse, I’ve enjoyed every X-Men movie to some extent, and if it’s not as bad as those then I’m game.
I remember pointing this out on here and on FB and everyone gave me sooooo much shit for it and saying I was just being a troll.
Then everyone starting making memes for it and thought it was hilarious.

just watched a cam rip ehh is not worse than X3. I think Apoc was worse tbh. Is not good by any means either. It is bland af, like it seems it came straight to TV kinda movie. It has 2 good action scenes, then dialogue or plot is FF tier

Depending on what they do with Zero in the Falcon and Winter Soldier series, they have plenty of pieces, including Ghost, from Ant-Man and the Wasp, who could make for an intriguing team. Hell, technically you could throw Hawkeye and Winter Soldier in there since they landed on the team before.
