dont be too sure. i am old enough, so i might just be.
MCU X-Men should have the X-Men TAS lineup. Go full nostalgia. The intro to the movie should be done TAS style song and everything. It’s free money. It will dive deep into nostalgia and basically give us a Darth Vader in Rogue One moment. A moment that everyone will love.
She singlehandedly ruins every scene she is in. Good riddance!
It should definitely have TAS music, just as avengers have their own music
I wish the series had finished in Days of Future Past. Fox should have never made Apocalypse and remade the Dark Phoenix Saga. They’re not only boring movies but also that means Marvel Studios won’t use those characters and storylines in the MCU.
I don’t think the Phoenix will be out of the question for the MCU. They would make it the cosmic entity that it is instead of hidden power that somehow makes Jean evil. Alternatively make the Phoenix someone else. The Cuckoos have hosted the Phoenix force before.
Feige said Avengers are going to space, I think X-Men will remain in Earth; at least for the first three to four movies. But there will be a Secret Wars crossover.
I’m fine with that. I never liked the X-Men being in space.
I don’t like much magic and space in X-Men.
IIRC Jubilee became a vampire and there’s a witch and a fairy in one of the teams.
There are a few things I like about space, the Shi’ar are great antagonists and I like the Imperial Guard. But the story about Cyclops’s father and brother being space pirates and emperors have never worked to me. And I think Fox has made people sick of Phoenix storylines.
Apocalypse was sort of a creation of the Celestials in the comics, that part I did like, but I don’t think we’ll see Apocalypse ever again in the movies.
And please no more time travel stories. Most of them are terrible. I could do with Hope Summers though.
Pixie is a mutant not an actual fairy. The only actual fairy involved with the X-Men is a side character for Pete Wisdom.
The witch your thinking of is Magik. Being trapped in a hell dimension for a good portion of her life would make her proficient at magic on top of her mutant powers.
Vampire jubilee is bae. Her teaching X-23 how to be a “normal” teenage girl is one of the most wholesome and adorable runs in comic history. I love that two of my favorite x-characters became bffs.
Jubilee isn’t a vampire anymore. I can’t remember who but someone gave her a piece of the Phoenix force which reverted her back to a “normal” mutant and gave her powers back.
What I think they should do is do a cool story with Mister Sinister and Savage Land, as a start. In Savage Land. Evolution, dinosaurs and genetics, those are pretty fitting teams to the X-Men for early movies.
Just don’t involve clones, please XD
I also think we should do quite an “X-Men Evolution” route here, with Wolverine and Storm being adult and Cyclops, Jean, Ice-Man, Angel and Beast as teenagers/younger students.
The Fox movies never pulled the trigger on Sinister so he would be a good starting point. It would be cool if an X-Men movie made use of Mojo.
The one and only time I’d be begging for Tim Burton to write/direct.
As long as they don’t turn the franchise into a teenager comedy like what they’re doing with Spider-Man, I think I could be OK with Mojo.
I’d like to see Spiral.
Spider-man has always had comedy in it though? Like, that’s one of his main schticks. Being a snarky and sassy mother fucker.
Spider-Man is supposed to be way more heroic and about guilt, sacrifice, responsability.
You can’t compare Spider-Man: Homecoming to Spider-Man 2 or even Into the Spider-Verse.
Homecoming turned Peter into Danny Phantom or any other generic teenager superhero. They made him way too Gen Z to my taste. Damn, the most heartfelt conversation he has in the movie is a with a freaking computer
And now he’s in a student trip to Europe to fight giant elemental monsters? I don’t even know what they’re doing with Spidey… it’s beyond unrecognizable.
No Tim Burton. I don’t need to see him wedge Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp into anymore movies.
Which he can still do and still bust out the knock knocks and the yack yacks. It’s been this way in literally every medium Spider-Man’s.
every animated media of spider man has had peter Parker has a teenager or coming of age hero. Even TAS he had just entered college IiRC.
You’re bitching just to bitch. MCU Spider-Man is a coming of age kid who’s trying to constantly do right thing while trying to show his role model he’s ready.
