LOOOL, you mean the MVC2 Ironman War Machine infinites…
My favorite Marvel movie is the Winter Solider followed by Iron Man. I just really like strong well written characters. I’ve always been a believer in building up a character before trying to overwhelm people with “flashing powers XD”. I know you could argue that the MCUs last 21 films have laid down the ground work for something like Captain Marvel to be bombastic from the jump but I still thinks that’s a story telling mistake.
Character first, powered person second.

Summary
Movie was 3 hours and she was around for 10 minutes.

I don’t disagree. I feel like they did a good job with Captain marvels origin. 
So what is the truth behind this new multiverse thingy being the way to introduce X-Men and F4 into the MCU?
It’d be a complete and total mind fuck for people if the end of Dark Phoenix is Phoenix Force destroying their timeline/their continuity, since that’s easily within the Phoenix Forces wheel house and the Phoenix force travels to whatever realm/dimension/bullshit that the MCU is in.
It’d be a “great” send off to the Fox continuity, a huge talking point and an “oh fuck” about it being a looming presence in the MCU.
Winter Soldier is my favorite movie as well. I legit recommended that movie to people that don’t care about Marvel and even they said it was good.
Side Note: This is the Captain Marvel, I want to see.

I’d be down. I still want the heavily rumored Khamala Khan/Ms. Marvel to happen. Really badly. More diversity the better. Something as niche as comics should try to be as inclusive as possible.
It isn’t about to diversity. Monica, despite the multitude of names, is just a better character IMO.
I know. Just a lot of people will see it that way. And some how try to twist into a negative thing.
I wouldn’t know. Never read any of her runs. I only know of Mar-Vell and Danvers.
Carol comes off as the Roman Reigns of Captain Marvel’s. They keep trying to push her down readers throats whether they like it or not. Monica despite never getting the same level of shine just comes off better. I have to concur with @Hawkingbird recent comic story lines has basically ruined her character. I can’t speak to Kamala Kahn. I only know surface level stuff about her.
I will say, Lashana Lynch performance during that monologue got into my feels.

wife wants to go see a movie this weekend for Mother’s Day. We’ve seen Endgame, but not Captain Marvel. Is the plotline for Capt. Marvel needed at all in order to understand further plot points in Endgame?
