I was bout to ask was it financially feasible or responsible to have your main character be CGI in a long running series then remembered this is Disney we’re talking about. They got that dough lol

I heard Mandalorian cost roughly $15 M per episode compared to 5/6 M for a sci fi show like Discovery

Yes.
The main through line of the issues is Magnus and Xavier are trying to convince Franklin to come to Krakoa while Sue and Reed are 100% against it.
Reed also does some dumb Reed shit while Sue Storm proves she’s the only competent member of the team when it actually matters. Again
It’s just a 4-issue run but it’s hella good.

Ohh yeah I know what story your talkin about. He wants tools of war, though him losing his powers is wacky.
It’s a good read. I really like how the duo of Terry and Rachael Dodson stylized Franklin in the panels. They really fit his body language and expressions to Zdarsky’s dialogue.
He genuinely looks like a struggling teenager who doesn’t know what to do but has an idea of what he wants. He just doesn’t want to upset or disappoint anyone while doing it.
I’m fascinated by Franklin honestly. We know his beginning and his end. It’s the middle that’s interesting, how does he develop the powers to scare galactis? How will it help or hurt mutants… DOES he even consider himself a mutant because the control rod is really the cause? Can the cosmic control rod make more godtier mutants?
What I got from the mini series is that

In all of Moira’s previous lives where applicable Franklin never came to Krakoa or aligned with their causes. Magnus and Charles feel he can be their contingency plan since he is considered the most power mutant across the multi-verse with an infinitely deep well of potential
