It is was one of the newer retcons within the last decade+. She developed more organic powers and then her family yaddy yaddy ya, cyrostatis, Sin something mega event, Peter finds out of her existence, and a couple attempts to spin her off into her own ongoing.
But her and Peter being literally have to keep clear of one another for too long or all they will do is ‘get down’ regardless of their feelings for one another.
I wish the character wasn’t tied to the spider totem crap that JMS introduced.
Silk was soooo inconsistent.
I liked a lot her first solo volume, right until before Last Days.
But that is a trait all Spider side characters have due to how whenever one has a book, either there is a creator or editorial change and suddenly trying to chase the sales dragon they due a wild concept change like making a character a double agent or working for SHIELD or exposing her identity to the world or killing them off to replace them with someone else or whatever.

Naw. That’s silly, imo. Comics are supposed to be immersive and make you feel apart of the story. I’ve felt that in all the current stuff I’ve been actually reading. I wouldn’t feel the same if I just watched or read some shit about it.
It’s the same reason I don’t like Let’s Plays and don’t give a shit about game reviews. The experience you get from these mediums is what matters and makes you want to keep supporting them.
Not that I feel they don’t have a place in the mediums. I just don’t hold them in high regard 9/10. The only reason I’ve read Hickmans X-Titles, the latest Captain America, Miles and Immortal Hulk is because I’ve heard glowing reviews from people I trust when it comes to comics who don’t bullshit and will give actual constructive criticism on the book.
