I am fine with her as MJ, this is a different canon and she is more entertaining than any other young actress they would have dyed her hair red for the role.

My thing is that they couldn’t shit or get off the pot when deciding who she is supposed to be. Like they wanna call her MJ but also not have her be MJ at all. I always felt like it was a weird fucking decision even though I really like the character. She feels like a real person that some nerd like Peter would definitely crush on in real life.

Yeah in general this Peter got good taste. But in different media, changing the race of a few of Peter’s side characters outside of the Robinsons family and JJJ seems fine. I mean they made Aunt May smoking hot, you can’t get a bigger switch up then that.

Where was there ever any indecision about her being MJ? Homecoming just hides it until the end and makes a subtle little reveal off of it.
I kinda like the subtlety with how they handled the MJ reveal.
