No it was supposed Spiderman. They are building it around his world. Norman osboure was the villain and he was supposed to grow into his mantle. We’re not saying he was gonna be Tony in 2 movies… But it was a 4 movie arc. The fact they did him so early in hs was to watch him grow into the Spiderman we know. It was most Def supposed to be him to take up Tony’s role.

It shouldn’t be spidey. There have been multiple heroes that replaced Tony and led the Avengers. Disney want to maximize profits with the laziest and dumbest way possible.

Tony wasn’t even the leader though. And no one can be the next Tony because RDJ literally redefined a roll. Also being not complicated doesn’t mean it needs to happen. I’m saying just slapping anyone in the armor doesn’t sit well with me. The idea of Norman showing up to be the new “Stark” on the surface seemed fucking cool because there’d be an interesting story reason for it but that was nixed as soon as Spidey because a PS5 exclusive again.
And fuck Captain Marvel that character isn’t a leader. She just punches shit because the movies say shez da stronkest.
Don isn’t charismatic enough to hold that title. I’m sorry but maybe if Terrance was still around I could see it but Don can’t fill Tony’s shoes. He needs stay as WM.
Because it’s so fucking contrived man. Mantel passing should make fucking sense to me. When Allmight passes the responsibilities of being the #1 hero to Deku it doesn’t come from nowhere, there’s precedent for that in the story. There’s no internal story logic that makes the idea of his kid being the next IM in 20 years make any sense. Oh Tony had a kid, I guess she’s Iron Man now.

Are you serious? In Morgan’s introductory scene we see her tinking with the helmet of her mother’s Rescue armor. She clearly inherited her father’s intelligence when we seen them interact. If they want to make her next gen Iron Man the seeds are firmly planted.

Tony already has a successor: Pepper Potts. President of the Stark Company, she has her own super suit, I mean wtf.
They will do an A-Force movie and she will star on it along with female Thor, Wasp, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Okoye and hopefully She-Hulk.
Other than that I think she will eventually get too busy running the company and will look for a talented new successor for Tony in the form of girl inventor Riri Williams, because Spider-Man will be back to the neighborhood for some reason.
And talking about girl inventors, damn, I want an Unstoppable Wasp TV series.
It’s about “The Unstoppable Wasp” Nadia Pym setting up a girl laboratory startup. You could use Ant-Man’s daughter to lead rather than Nadia (who is Hope’s equivalent in the comics). It’s a really cool concept, you can create a great TV series out of that. And I know not everyone’s a fan but I do love quite a few characters in this comic book series.

By the time they do another Avengers movie the actress that played Morgan would be a young teen. They can even set her up to be buddy buddy with Riri Williams who Iron Heart in the comics.

Riri WIlliams is an awful character. That said, Marvel seems to be bringing story arcs that bombed in the comics to the screen, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she showed up.
