Maybe I do know the kid has expressed a big interest in coming back. It would fill the roster nicely, like him being the kinda adopted older brother to his daughter
In the old Avengers EMH cartoon, one particular storyline involved Kang coming back in time to kill Captain America for some shit he did to the timeline…

My favorite Kang story isnt even canon as it was a crossover.
It was the 2nd of the X-Men/Star Trek crossovers where the Enterprise E right after the movie First Contact ends up in Marvel 616, detected Shiar tech they can use to fix the Enterprise and head back, and decided to break into a mansion in upstate New York, after some shenanigans Kang convince the X-Men and the Enterprise crew if they dont help him out the Multiverse is doom.

Captain Marvel came out when it did because, Fiege finally got Ike to stop blocking a female led movie when DC dropped Wonder Woman and it blew up. At that point DC still seemed like a potential threat before they self destructed.
We probably would have gotten a Black Widow film before that but Ike was out there talking about female led action films failing even when Scarlett made Lucy a hit.
Captain Marvel wasn’t a response to Wonder Woman. It was already in the slate. DC just beat them to the punch. Feige got Captain Marvel and Black Panther approved by agreeing to do an Inhumans movie. Of course he dropped Inhumans once he broke Marvel Studios away from Ike.

I feel like a majority of the reason Captain Marvel did well cuz it was right before Endgame. Seems like a movie that wouldn’t have done nearly that well without Marvel pulling that shit

I think it did well outside of the USA because epeople just generally like super hero movies. Male or female. Here in the USA I think an aspect of the reason is there arent enough female hero movies. Lots of girls love captain marvel. In a genre that’s become so fuckin big we got maybe 2 female movies in total since the mcu really got started for all of the superhero stuff. It’s a market that wants movies directed at them. You are dumb as bricks if you don’t do a few and not just 1 fuckin movie

The thing that sucks about this is that there is no one in the MCU can take Tony’s mantel. Literally no one. Riri would be fucking stupid, his daughter would be eye roll inducing and Tony had one fucking moment with the kid from IM3. This shit is so fucking contrived. I hate mantel passing in general but there’s no precedent for that with Tony.
Outside of (sell more toyz) I’m 100% positive no one here can think of a logical follow up to the Iron Man mythos in the MCU that wouldn’t be a ginormous ass pull.
