Pffft, I knew the Multiverse was coming when I watched Captain America… 1990.
I knew it would come eventually. I just really wish it didn’t.
Summary
I would love to see Toby come back and do a cameo!!
Cringy scenes
Summary
I was meh about the wahmen powah scene
The Cap America: gay counselor scene was 100X more unbearable for me. I think because my grandfather is only about 10 years younger than Cap and I can only laugh at the idea of him in that scene.
You kinda sound like an idiot…
Honestly I am not sure why?
Summary
Russo’s character wasn’t sashaying through the scene looking like a disturbed Lisa Frank poster. His sexuality was almost a blink and you’ll miss it reference.
The A-Force scene was cool, but I admit it did seem a bit on the nose. The all women scene in Infinity War wasn’t noticed because the moment seemed to happen more organically. I give this one a pass because fan service was the M.O. for that scene. It was more spectacle than subject. They can’t try that again though without it being ridiculous.
Summary
He means that Cap should be hating fags and not counseling them.
Summary
I still don’t understand the issue with hinted/Easter egg of A-Force. It was super cool to me. Probably one of my favorite moments in End Game. Like “look at all these super bad ass chicks the MCU has made being in one scene”. Them making an A-Force movie would be super cool to me.
Summary
I’m certain little girls were marking out at that scene.
But neckbeards have an issue with women having a cheesy forced scene in a movie even if it makes a little girl happy.
You’d never see that shit 20 years ago. I’m all for it.
Summary
We gonna pretend the men don’t have tons of cheesy forced scenes together? The women can’t have a moment?
Summary
It’s 2019, not 2039.
People aren’t used to women having it yet.
Summary
I mean iron man and spider man had ham fisted cheese moments in back to back movies.
I swear Marvel has gathered polling data from that scene.
Summary
True, and they are cheesey but the criticism is not as open because that’s what the “fans” want. Same rule applies with that scene as well. New fans want to see that type of team up.
Summary
@odin I remember reading reviews for A-Force when it came out. They were so stupid and contradictory. Most of them would say how great it was that Marvel was finally letting their female characters show what great and bad ass characters they were and it was exciting to see them all in one place.
Then they’d finish the review saying not to buy it because it “decisively” and “aggressively” feminist. Whatever the fuck that means. Lol
It’s so strange that people don’t like and or fear female empowerment. Lol.
It’s crazy how much shit has changed from just 3 years ago but sad how much it’s stayed the same for generations
Summary
haha I never even knew of A-Force… I quit reading comics before it came out.
And yea, nerds are sensitive, remember the Miles Morales backlash? They don’t want to see anything that upsets their status quo.
But frankly, this just makes Brie Larsons words ring more true “These aren’t made for you”
Summary
for sure. I’d pick a series here and there to read just so I could stay semi current when I worked at the comic book store. Though A-force came out after the fact it was recommended to me by my old manager since she knew most of my favorite marvel characters are female.
When they announced miles I was like “oh, cool.” Same with Riri Williams becoming Iron-Heart and a bunch of other changes. People being mad about marvel being progressive and inclusive to other races, backgrounds and genders obviously don’t know the history of marvel. They’ve literally always been this way. Lol
Russos said the spoiler ban lifted today.
Can we post freely now?
A-Force was great as the basic idea, but both volumes they published were just atrocious, IMO. Not fresh or interesting at all.
RuSsO iS nOt YoUr MoD!!
