I just finished Garth Ennis final issue of the Punisher MAX run and I got to say I am surprised they are releasing #61 with the new writer as soon as next week. The preview was sort of good.

Despite The Dark Knight being the best movie of the summer, Robert Downey Jr is obviously the star of the season. If has another successful movie with the fall or winter months, he could own the entire year.

Captain America #41 was just too awesome. I still can’t believe Brubaker managed to make this book good still.

Dr. Faustus basically is fed up with Red Skull’s BS and betrays them. He gives Sharon Carter her SHIELD gps transmitter and releases her from his mind control. He then tips off SHIELD that the presidential nominees will get assassinated and that Senator Wright would be the one to take a bullet which would soar him upwards in popularity and get him more closer to presidency(which was part of Red Skulls plan). Meanwhile Zola is finished with whatever device he’s working on and Skull orders him to get the girl. SHIELD w/ Black Widow and Falcon bust in and attempt to rescue Sharon. Back at the Presidential debate, Sin prepares to shoot the presidential nominees when Bucky drops in and throws his shield in front of the Senator just as Sin shoots and the bullet is deflected. Issue ends with Bucky basically saying that he’s “Captain America”
CAP #41 was one hell of a setup issue next month i cant wait for next month
today was an awesome day. Went to my local atomic comics and got my 4 issues of marvel 1985 signed by Mark Millar. Also got the first issue of war heroes signed by Mark Millar and Tony Harris
i go saturday. ima get him to sign my cw variants that turner signed, and my cw trade, and ultimates v1 HC

Young X-Men #5
[details=Spoiler]So the gang was being fooled by Donald Pierce all along. Magma helps cure Dust, and the 3 go and stop the fight between Cannonballs and the others. After they clear everything up, Ink takes them to where Dani and Blindfold.
Graymalkin helps free Dani and Blindfold while the gang fights off against Pierce. Pierce kills(?) Wolfcub and that ends this story.
Future story will involve a team called the Y-Men and the return of a favourite Academy X character![/details]

He is working for the Red Queen who is a…demonatrix and a member of the Sisterhood of Mutants. Oh and Empath seems to enjoy her ‘hurting’/‘punishing’ him…
Cyke sends Logan and Nightcrawler to help out Karma against the Cult.[/details]
Man is Land’s art unbearable >_<.
Marvel 1985 #4
[details=Spoiler]The Marvel villains continue their slaughter in Toby’s world. After surviving and escaping the clutches of Lizard, Toby sneaks in to the mansion and travels to the Marvel U. and get the heroes to help beat the badguys.
A good issue IMO and for some reason I have this odd ‘Kingdom Come’ feel for the final issue[/details]
Ironman 32
[details=Spoiler]Tony stops the Overkill Mind and frees Weir from it. Tony later pins down Rahimov’s location and attempts to stop him. They get into a discussion of how there are a lot of deaths on Tony’s hand while Tony tries to convince Rahimov to stop his plans. When Rahimov refuses to listen to Tony, Tony tells SHIELD to have the Overkill Mind detonate all the warheads that are in Tony and Rahimov’s surrounding area!
Rahimov dies of course, but Tony manages to survive.
The issue ends with Tony stating that even tho he caused the deaths of many people, he still remembers them.
A wonderful issue and a great conclusion to this story. Gotta love how while Tony was regaining conscience from the warhead detonation, he was thinking of women :rofl2:
So next issues should have War Machine IIRC[/details]
Incredible Hercules 120
[details=Spoiler]Atum and that Eternal get GGPOed by the Skrull God who is revealed to be He apparently and fights Herc. After a grueling battle Herc succeeds in defeating the Skrull God, and he, Cho and Snowbird (yes she is alive) escape from the collapsing temple they were fighting in.
During the battle Mikaboshi becomes the replacement God for the Skrulls and back on Earth, Athena smiles as her ‘plan’ is coming to fruitation.
Next issue should conclude all this BS[/details]
GotG #4, pretty good issue
[details=Spoiler]Knowhere is in turmoil as one of their sectors is bombed and destroyed with some Skrull bodies found. Concluding that there are more Skrulls in Knowhere with just about every member of the Guardians UNABLE to detect the Skrulls, they decide a lockdown in order to solve this problem.
Issue ends with Drax gearing up in order to find out who the Skrull is amongst them.
Here’s hoping Cosmo isn’t a Skrull :P[/details]

There’s too X-Men main books. Uncanny X-Men and X-Men Legacy. Both are good but if I had to pick one, I’d say get X-Men Legacy. Mike Carey’s X-Men is dope!
