Throw in Captain Britian and MI13, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Eternals and Immortal Iron Fist (the new guy’s first issue didn’t suck, so there is still hope for this one).
I fail for not mentioning Captain Britain & MI13. Sano feel free to Infraction me ;_;
Been reading through Daredevil (Finally!) friend gave me his Vol.1 Hardcover.
First arc was awesome, but I could be biased because I’m a fan of that villain and Kevin Smith in general (His Quiver arc for Green Arrow was one of the first pieces of work I’ve read in comics).
So far I am enjoying ole hornhead.
This is just a reminder of a good series most of you dont know about or alot of you forgot about.

That is one they really should bring back.
Yeah Cloak looks like a 17 Yo kid though, wtf is up with that.
I personally liked the FIRST C&D miniseries, after that it felt dull to me.
BTW any Clan Destine fans here? Their recent mini was nice but felt a bit rushed at the end.
That’s the robot suit Iron Man gave Spider-Man after ‘The Other’ storyline. He gave it up during Civil War. I guess you can call it “Spider-Armor 2.0” or something with that suit he wears in MSH vs. SF as the first one, his grey outfit that first appeared in Web of Spider-Man (and was destroyed in the same issue lol). There’s a team of Spider-Men who wear that red and yellow robot suit in Avengers Initiative and they call themselves The Scarlet Spiders, a silent nod to Ben Reilly and the Clone Saga.
At least there was until they got KIA’d.
Only on one of them got KIA’d. The other two and MVP are with Counterforce now currently fighting the New Warrior during Secret Invasion.
But arent they teenagers though?
They started out as teenagers, but as time went on Dagger started taking college courses.
Aging in Marvel is a funny thing… Cloak and Dagger can probably be whatever age they want him to be right now, I doubt Marvel will bother referencing 20 year old Strange Tales comics a heck of a lot… But the new series is set in 616 and with C&D being in Civil War and all, they are probably young adults and the way the artist is drawing them just makes them look young, possibly. I guess it’s something like how Aunt May looks younger and younger as the years go by, in her first appearance it looked like she was on her death bed. Must be that Pearl Cream.
I guess but then young avengers or runaways dont make sense. At least this is the same artist that is doing the secret wars tie in
Honestly I think Cloak and Dagger should be around 22-25 right now. But again, this kind of thing doesn’t mean a lot in comics. See Franklin Richards, Artie and Leech, the Lizard’s son Billy Connors, etc.
LOL Billy Connors! He started out as 5-10 during the Lee/Ditko days, remained 5-10 for a loooong freaking time, was rightfully aged to be a teenager finally and then went back to being 5-10 last time he appeared when Spidey was fighting Yith… :looney:
At least Defalco made Billy look like a teenager in the Spider-Man Family insert, Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man last week. Of course that’s set in the Spider-Girl/MC2 universe where time moves forward significantly. I still think Billy should be starting college by now but eh maybe he’s just a dwarf. :clown:
See, this is why Marvel needs a Crisis. Age disputes, time passages, and years of convoluted and questionable continuity would EASILY be tidied up with one all-out, universe-spanning, time-altering, dimension-shifting, massive, for-the-ages, super world final secret crisis crossover infinite civil identity invasion house war.
You forgot the clones, Zeph.
Marvel doesn’t need that and they should never and i repeat NEVER go that route.
“Onslaught,” “The Infinity Wars,” “The Infinity Crusade,” “Secret Wars 1 & 2,” “Heroes Return,” “House of M,” “Maximum Cloneage,” “Messiah Complex,” “Secret Invasion,” “Civil War,” and an assload of others. If it’s been thought of, it’s been done.
Sigh.
O Marvel, where art thou? There are a few storylines that I posted above that I sincerely enjoyed (I was one of the few people that actually enjoyed The Infinity sagas and was also a HUGE fan of Adam Warlock).
The last few posts have established that Marvel sorely needs a Crisis. And it HAS to be one of those all-out, universe-spanning, time-altering, dimension-shifting, massive, for-the-ages, super world final secret crisis crossover infinite civil identity invasion house war crusade gauntlet saga. With CLONES. (Thanks, Alibi.) Otherwise, these comics are just too confusing and don’t make any sense.
I mean, how can you have Cloak and Dagger look like they’re pushing thirty over in Civil War, and then start a new, in-continuity series starring them where they look like high schoolers? I don’t blame artistic interpretation for this, no siree bob. This is all because Marvel has lacked Crises. All they need to do to fix continuity gaffes like this Cloak & Dagger DEBACLE is just explain that the Cloak we’ve seen in Civil War and New Avengers was just a clone IMPOSTER. And then explain how the REAL Cloak and Dagger were trapped in an alternate dimension where they stopped aging, and then when Thanos or someone busts out the Infinity Gauntlet, a rift in reality opens up and that’s how the REAL Cloak & Dagger return to the 616.
It just makes things make more sense and less complicated.
