Yeah, there was has been like two major storylines where the Hulk beats everyone in the Marvel universes collective ass like a car vs crippled deer on a lonely highway (I think it was Hulk 200 in a previous volume before being banished by Strange and obviously the recent WWH).

LOL I had to read a lot of Cloak and Dagger stories in all of those Strange Tales comics I got that just mentioned Shuma-Gorath in the Dr. Strange portions of the books. They are pretty cool so long as they are written well. I know Marvel’s been waiting a long time to release them, waiting for the right pitch. I hope it does well.

About the Hulk…
Unless they mystically ret-conned this (I love it when Marvel writers do that), Thor actually has said that the Hulk is much stronger than he is. I believe it was in The Mighty Thor #150 (volume 1) and I know for a fact that the issue was reprinted in a gigantic Marvel Team Up special in the 70s. In the team up special, it had various reprints of different stories that pitted one hero against the other (the one with Spider-Man and the Silver Surfer was hilarious—Spidey was ridiculously outclassed by Galactus’s herald. Motherfucker was totally GGPOed by the surfer).
The one story with Hulk and Thor chronicled a previously unmentioned fight between the two of them, one that occurred off-panel to the main fight (he was relating this tale to a group of kids that were debating who was stronger, the Hulk or Thor). Thor, being the cocky Asgardian he can be, decided that he didn’t need Mjolnir to beat the Hulk’s ass. He petitioned to Odin and asked him to seal Mjolnir away for an hour so he could test his mettle against the Green Goliath. Odin did as he was told and the two of them fought. Needless to say, the fight was one-sided for the majority of the time; if it wasn’t for Thor’s experience and his own considerable (albeit nerfed) might, the Hulk would have probably ended his ass right then and there. Hulk was actually able to lift Mjolnir at one point, btw (actually wielding it was a different matter as it came right back to Thor). When he finished relating the tale to the kids, he actually admitted to the Hulk being one of the most formidable mortals alive and probably one of the only few that could take him down in a fight.
Knowing Marvel, a lot of stuff has changed since then. This should give you guys an idea of how big of a fan I was. >___>
