Glad you OK Sano, I’m in North Jersey. Thankfully I only lost power for a couple days - some people have it much worse than I did, so I can’t complain.

Hey sano glad to hear your doing alright after all that crazy mess, from 1 comic geek to another I’m glad your safe!
I’m finally just 14 books away from FINALLY being caught up with my collection. I’ll have more books this wed which will probably push the total pile to like 18-20…but its a vast improvement from my 60+ pile a week ago lol. By this weekend I’ll easily be able to include all those readings and be caught up to date with everything for the first time in a year.
Tonight I read WATX and damn it was great. The best part was the potential teaching replacements and the cameo from blade…he really should have been accepted cause blade as a teacher would have just made this series OP.

I won’t be back to work for another two weeks now, but we probably won’t be back until December. At least I got to vote with no problems.
I think I’ll wait until after my next pay day to catch up. So Saturday the 17th or so. Most of my comic book stores are up and running, except the downtown ones. The trains are still a little messed up, especially on Monday through Friday. So I’ll wait since I have no reason to go to the city except to pick up comics.
Three weeks at home while still getting paid and can’t really go anywhere. I’m pretending I’m retired.

Looks like I’m gonna continue to hold off on DC until Marvel slows down a bit.

Damn I was only 9 issues away from finally catching up but I just picked up my new books today and it came out to 20 more issues!!!
Well I managed 39 issues last weekend so I should be able to finish it off this weekend if I grind…so close but so far lol

I’ll be clear, I don’t like the method or reasoning for Cyclops becoming a villain - we’ve debated that already. However, I do like this new BA Cyclops. Having Magik send the guys who killed the mutant in jail to Limbo was a huge change of pace for him that I welcome. On top of that, having Danger carve that X in the warden’s face was just special. Can’t wait to see how dark they take him.
I didn’t realize that Uncanny Avengers #2 was delayed.

Marvel Unveils All-Female Book - The Fearless Defenders, starring Valkyrie, Misty Knight and Dani Freakin’ Moonstar! :eek::woot:
Marvel seems to want to catch up on DC in terms of female representation. Personally I dont like the idea of a all female cast for"just because"reasons but it sounds interesting. I gotta say marvel NOW has me really excited with some of the potential tittles…I just hate that wallet is gonna take a pounding lol.
I’m really hype for Marvel NOW. I think the only non-Marvel books I’m gonna actually buy and not just keep an eye on until Marvel slows down are Carbon Grey and Cyber Force (first five issues are FREE btw).
How has cyber force been by the way?
My store only gave the 1st one for free and I wasn’t sure if its only because the other 4 have not been released yet. Anyways I’m more hyped for marvel now then I am for wii-u lol, and with marvel now books coming in I’ll probably be collecting 50/50 in terms of DC and marvel.
Right now for DC I have like 30 something from the 52 line and from marvel I imagine I’ll have a similar number now.
AFAIK, only #1 has been released. I get all my comics on iPad btw, so I’m not sure what store owners are doing about the free issues. I just heard about Carbon Grey today and downloaded the first volume from Image’s app for like $7 - the art is freakin’ amazing. I read that the story is pretty deep as well - right up my alley.
Going forward, I’m definitely gonna have to limit the amount of titles I’m buying. This is getting ridiculous. Cyber Force being free for the first 5 issues played a big role in me checking it out.
Yeah, only 1 came out. Pretty sure they’ll be releasing it monthly like every other comic.
Anyway, talk about with talk about Top Cow books, I’d like to see some activity going on in the Top Cow or Image threads. They’ve been pretty dead for a while.
I was actually gonna post there about Carbon Grey, but decided to wait until I had read volume 1 or else my post would’ve been “Hey this looks cool!”
Top Cow’s been dead to me ever since Wanted became a movie.
Not to veer more off course, but you’ve been missing out on a lot of good things then.
Either case, I’mma make my run to the shop in a bit. Not much coming out from Marvel that catches my eye. I’ll definitely check out Iron Man. Probably be put on my pull list. It’s been a while since I looked at what my dudes from the Academy have been up to so I might get some back issues of that. And that’ll be about it.
You know what really annoyed me about AVX…why is Scott being treated like a criminal while Wanda who is responsible for this situation is still allowed to walk freely.
Also my hate for cap is returning as he came off like a complete asshole during AVX.
Yea the general consensus when it comes to AvX is that it’s a horribly written story that makes no sense. I don’t even want to get into it again, lol. I don’t mind the path they’re taking w/ Cyclops, but the events that got him there were planned very poorly.
I’m always down to veer off course. What has Top Cow done that has been any good?
I was going to qualify that question with a “lately” but then I realized I don’t think they’ve EVER made any good comics. ZING
