Update - Some subways can go to the city in a limited capacity but it’s not hassle free. I have to go uptown for comic book stores, so basically staying home.
My job is by Seaport (well it’s pretty much where Spider-Man’s Horizon Labs would be) and the first floor and all of the basement levels were basically destroyed along with tons of files and records. I work on the 24th floor and sometimes on the lowest level so the loss of files is something I’ll have to deal with.
My job has been closed all week and it’s rumored that we won’t reopen until Thursday. That’s probably when I’ll pick up my comics.
Otherwise I’m okay. Stuck in my hometown and there’s nothing to do here except go to the movies. At least I got to see Wreck-It Ralph. It’s awesome!
Ha sorry about my cabin fever rant. ^_^;
I guess my monthly Marvel books now are like -
Amazing Spider-Man - Will continue even after Marvel Now. I believe in Slott!
Wolverine and the X-Men
Avengers - Will continue. HIIIIKMAAAN!
New Avengers - See above.
Fantastic Four - Dropped now that Hickman’s gone. Not a fan of Fraction on teams.
FF - Big X-Statix fan so I will give it a chance.
Uncanny X-Force - Psylocke and Spiral on the same team hell yeah!
Young Avengers - Love Heinberg’s work on this series and the Point One issue turned me off of Gillen’s take. But I will give it a shot.
That’s about it. Couldn’t hang with Captain Marvel’s artwork so I was out. The story was slow for my tastes too, but that’s just me.
My DC books have boiled down to Batman, Batman Inc. and Batman and Robin. Not a fan of the DC Reboot. I hope Marvel Now is pound for pound a lot better.
Wow not being able to talk about books I read this week. Going through withdrawal. I got the shakes!
