Also in the minority wbut I loved the pencils in AoA.
I also really enjoyed Children’s Crusade! It did take too long to be released, but it’ll be worth it while reading it from start to finish. The end is bitter sweet for me since I really like YA under Heinberg’s pen. The series felt like it went full circle from YA Volume 1.
Can’t wait for Fantastic Four next week! Amazing Spider-Man was also great and if the covers are any indication Ends of the Earth will be… spectacular.

In the April issue of Game Informer, there’s a big interview with the Marvel architects. This is a pretty funny exchange with Bendis SRK members might get a kick out of.
BENDIS: …if you’re a fighting game fan, I have to say I think Avengers vs. X-Men sounds pretty awesome.
GAME INFORMER: Yeah, if you play Marvel vs. Capcom it’s almost the same lineup. Maybe you should throw Mega Man in there to really sell it.

Oooh. The question is which Captain Marvel!? I know some of the AvX covers tease a “revived” Marvell… so could it be him again? I’m kind of hoping for Genis though. Marvell came back the last time (as a skrull, mind you).

I’m not even the biggest Claremont hater (enjoy most of his work from the 80s and 90s) but except for Larocca’s pencils and the beautiful colors X-Treme X-Men sucked donkey balls.

Ultimate X-Men was very well done and nice parallel to an oldschool design
WaTXM had me smiling and laughing all the way through.
Legacy could of been better. Really disappointed in it recently with Gage. Hopefully picks up.

The last issue of X-23 was spectacular. There’s not a single word in the book so it was not a case of Marjorie Liu trying to wrap everything up in one issue, she went out with class. There’s even nudity in the book, as much as Marvel can get away with whoa… To Phil Noto’s credit however the nude scenes are done very tastefully in an art museum kind of way. The issue stands alone so if you’ve never read X-23 before and enjoy a silent comic now and then this is definitely worth checking out.
Really looking forward to Marjorie Liu on Astonishing X-Men. Going to miss her on X-23 though.
I would have loved Sana Takeda on the last issue of X-23.
Yeah, Sana Takeda was involved in the recent Venom arc that involved Blackheart, X-23 and female Ghost Rider. Haven’t read the series so I’m not really sure at what capacity. Just that she wasn’t the only artist on the project.

That Venom story arc had art by Terry Moore, worth reading it for his art at least.
