Hope Archangel doesnt die in the end of this saga. But from the looks of it he might take that dive. Hes been a really interesting character the moment Apoc gave him curse a while back. Trying to catch up on all the old stuff I havent read. Just finished Phoenix:Endsong and gonna pick up some other old ones later on the week.
Looks like UXF probably won’t go digital until after the Dark Angel arc - which means I’m gonna have to read it in paper until then. Not a huge problem, it’s just digital is so convenient.
Yeah I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. BIG fan of team-up books (BaTB and Marvel two-in-one being some of the best fun comics I’ve read). It’s just fun, funny and looks beautiful.
AvSM was really beautiful, also my first time reading Red Hulk (hes awesome). I really liked the book, I hope the fill-in artists are pretty good too. Its gonna suck if all of Joe Mad’s arcs are as well drawn as Issue 1 and the rest of them look shitty, I doubt this will happen but I’m def lookin forward to more Spidey.
UXF was amazing again. There were like three or four points in the book where I cheered out loud.
X-Force
[details=Spoiler]Off the top of my head: The AoA team showing up and Shiro saving Logan. When Fantomex misderected Psylocke, idk why but I love that power. Then the last page with Fantomex n Psy standing in the way of Archpocolypse.
Also regarding the teaser images for 18 the one with Dark Beast is the more telling one with Deathlok fighting off Pestilence’s flies while DB flies off with War and Pestilence. The other is just Jean-Phillipe fighting Warren so we all knew that was happening[/details]
For anyone who wants to read Red Hulk: Start reading it from the Scorched Earth TPB; it is the start of Jeff Parker’s run and he’s been doing a great job with the book so far.
I have to agree with this. Jeff has really made Red Hulk worth reading. His Red Hulk is one of my favorite things to pick up.
Finally all caught up reading this week.
Avenging Spider-Man was my favorite book this week. The artwork and story really meshed well together with Wells writing a story catered to Joe Mad’s art.
I liked how the Point One issue was formatted so props to Bru for that. It reminded me of the first Heavy Metal animated movie, but obviously way more PG.
Nothing in the book convinced me to pick up anything I’m not reading but I’ll get the first issues of Scarlet Spider and Defenders just for artwork alone. Beyond that we’ll see.
This is the first issue of Ghost Rider I didn’t care for because the tone was completely different from the previous issues. Oddly Wolverine’s comic had that same tone I was looking for so at least as a weekly reader I was good. I hope GR gets back on track next month.
UXF and X-Men Legacy were strong reads too. New Avengers was good stupid fun like Bendis does whenever he gets a hold of Osborn.

Probably due to inclusion of her in Avengers Academy and to save money, since the conspirator in me thinks Marvel is losing a chunk of sales over this past year.

Preview of Avengers #20. Might be the first time we see Storm as an Avenger since she’s supposed to join the team.
Storm would be what the 3rd member of the X-Men to join an Avengers team?
With Beast and Wolverine I think so.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having their origins from X books (Brotherhood, Quicksilver later joined X-Factor) probably deserves a mention too.
Ultimate X-Men was kinda bleh this week
Venom #9 Was great and so was ASM #674
Deadpool 46 and Max2 #2 were my favorites this week though
Still have to read Incredible Hulk #2 , Fear Itself 7.3 and X-23 #17
Upset that Carlie is still in ASM sigh… At least MJ’s still in the book. I laughed at the occupy Spider-Island line lol!
Loved X-23 this week especially with Sana Takeda on pencils. Cutest Valeria ever.

Yeah I’ve been a fan of Sana Takeda ever since Ms. Marvel. She’s been off and on X-23.
They gotta stop putting her on female heroine books because Marvel keeps canceling them. Maybe she can do a stint on X-Men Legacy since that’s really Rogue’s book anyway.

That time of the year again folks, dropping comics until late january or early feb. Be a little more sporadic but I’ll hang around this time.
Whoa, I didn’t realize X-23 got canceled. Marvel’s been canceling a lot of titles recently. I was really disappointed when I read the Dr. Doom mini got axed. Marvel does need to trim its line up, but not at the expense of these little gems. While I’m enjoying some of Regenesis, I still find the X-Line to be bloated. Even the Avengers line is huge. I enjoyed Avenging Spider-Man, but the Spider family is getting big with Scarlet Spider being added to the mix soon.
