Ugh I’m not reading the book if he’s the artist…
I really didn’t care when you-know-who bit the dust. I had almost no connection to him in the first place. It would of been a lot worse if someone else I cared about died. Like Spidey or Wolverine, but noooope. I hope issue 4 is a lot better.
Anyone else read Iron Age: Alpha?
[spoiler=]Tony is abducted by robots and taken to meet an old man: Donald Birch aka the Phantom a villain from the old Ironman comics. after being fired from Stark Enterprises/International, he joined HYDRA and AIM offering his knowledge in robotics to them. He however didn’t share their ideals and so by working with him he managed to steal money and other stuff from them to build his abode. He had gotten cancer and was dieing. He shows Tony one of Dr. Doom’s time machines and uses it to bring Dark Phoenix to his base and have her destroy the world. No that’s exactly what happens in the issue, and he does it out of revenge.
As Phoenix unleashes her powers destroying everything, Tony manages to jump into the time portal she was brought from and finds himself in Manhattan and enters a hotel. The bellboy recognizes him and Tony enters his hotel room, and in order to set things right will take in his former drunk self[/spoiler]
An OK first issue, here’s hoping the later issues are better.
I wonder if this took place immediatly after Siege, because for some reason, Luke’s angry at Tony for the whole Civil War thing O_o

I second this. MK is awesome, but he’s not a character that can carry a title for an extended period. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Vengeance of the Moon Knight, and yet it was canceled shortly around the time of the clusterfuck that was Shadowland.
Ugh…another Spider book. About Avengers…when he’s already on the Avengers, and FF, and has his own book.

Yes and Marvel swears that Avenging Spider-Man will come out every month on time! In other words one issue in November and another 2 issues in 2012! Aw c’mon you can’t blame Joe Mad. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is coming out and once he finishes playing that game he can start drawing Avenging Spidey #2. :wonder:

I have respect for those that can withstand Greg Land’s…penciling.
EDIT: Great that Aaron’s writing the Wolverine book will look forward to it, but a shame about the Cyke book, it just had to be ruined by Land’s…penciling.

Greg Land is dope. Phoenix: Endsong was done well IMO.
Greg Land was good in his early days, like on Nightwing and Birds of Prey. Even early Sojourn was pretty nice. I think towards the end of his Sojourn run he started getting too reliant on photo reference and porno faces. Nowadays his work is just distracting and totally takes away from the story.

I really liked Phoenix Endsong…until I learned about Greg Land’s…penciling and then I started having a hard time reading the book due to his ‘penciling’. However, despite his art Endsong was pretty good IMO.
His Nightwing work was fantastic. Newer stuff is really hit or miss, like most artists these days.
Eh most artists have been ‘hit’ for me I’d say.
Right now Deodato is my fave. Jim Lee too but I wish he was at Marvel instead of DC 
:(.

Mighty Thor was hilarious, but I’m hoping for some good action next ish. Odin is still a dick tho.
