I just don’t like how they’re making him some sort of savior in this story arc >_>;
…but the Red Hulk book is now being written by Jeff Parker and it’s off to a good start I feel.
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes debuts on Disney XD this Monday I believe (If I have it wrong, definitely Tuesday) try to catch it as the show looks pretty sensational so far.
Here is the first Micro-Episode they have been showing over the last month:
Looks cool, unsure about Hulk being there, but maybe it’s a one episode thing. For all intents and purposes it should be better than the last Avengers show.
I saw the first 2 episodes at NY Comic Con. I liked it but it’s a little too busy. There’s soooooo many characters in the first two episodes and not everyone gets introduced properly. Still I guess they have the rest of the season to amend that. Thor and Graviton have stolen the entire show so far.
Yeah at the con they said it will premiere on October 20. Of course that might not be true anymore since Disney XD likes to change their schedule at the drop of a hat…
So, nightcrawlers coming back in chaos wars? Are we going to see a reaction from Mystique, like Rogue drops by on her and tells her about what happened?
The whole Second coming series was great, it pulled me back into the x-men. I didn’t get to follow much after rogue lost her sunfire powers (which i thought was cool), yet this new rogue (the one who has like a combination of Archangel, colossus, wolvie, x-23, psylocke, and nightcrawler) is just freakin cool. I do miss the 616 Ms Marvel-rogue, and i also wish they kept the X-treme X-men rogue who can use any power she imprinted in the past.
This new vampire stint the X-Men are on…those guys must be desperate. Everybody already knows Wolverine’s been all better since before he was shown drinking blood from a cup (the writer will probably put in a line about how it was “all he could do” not to hurl while pretending to drink). He’ll lead the attack on home base, turn on the vamps, grind his teeth, spit out the broken off calcium overgrowths (fangs) after someone mentions them, everybody will head back and help Drac kill his kid and get his household back in order and afterwards his blood (which will conveniently contain the antibodies to cure vampirism) will be used to get things back to normal, since he can just keep generating blood and tissue. Predictable. Marvel, I expect better of you. Of course, the next 2 issues may not go down like that at all…but they have set things up to go more or less the way I think they will. If I’m wrong…damn, Marvel, you scary.
Yeah it premieres the 20th, they had a micro-episode marathon sunday though. Fuck that Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D one was SO boss! Grim Reaper is a masterful badass. I’m kinda dissapointed they are part of the full episodes, I was hoping it’d just be a leading up to that.
Yeah X-Men has done the whole vampire thing before, why I am avoiding it like the black plague.
Got me Wolverine: Daken #2, Secret Avengers #4, and two years of Ult. X-Men trades last weekend. Oh Daken, how much I love you…also Mystique is hot.
Secret Avengers was cool, going through my giant Marvel book I thought it might be Fury’s you know who, but that was a cool twist.
Ultimate X-Men is so great, I’m just trying to read up to before it became crap with a combination of stairs, Professor Pedo, and future Wolverine fucking things up.
My girlfriend say’s I look and act like him, so I took her advice and started reading all his work and she is pretty spot on with that statement, he’s pretty cool and probably one of my overall favorite Marvel characters at the moment.
I like Daken too. He sucked in every way prior to his Dark Reign ongoing though. Marjorie Liu really made the character.
As for X-men and vampires, this is really nothing new. X-Men has a history is following pop culture trends. Alien and then the Brood. Terminator, and then Cable. Now all this vampire crap. This is probably a bit less copy cat though as Dracula has existed in the Marvel universe for almost forty years.
