Galacta, the daughter of Galactus is aware that the Earth has been ‘rebooted’ a bunch of times.
how much shit have they done with her? I never really see her used much at all
One comic called Galacta released a few months back lol that’s it.
They should OMD Storm and Black Panther’s wedding. Storm used to be a strong character but now she’s just a slave to your highness because Hudlin’s xenophobic ass had to put the two black people together.
What was stan lee’s reaction to OMD… some say it was positive, but tvtropes says he hated it?
lol Mutants vs Vampires is another way of indirectly capitalizing on the Twilight Sh*t like Super powers vs Nocturnal Instinct driven creatures… hello no brainer, i bet lotsa PIS and CIS on this one.
he stood by it, stating it needed to be done, and it was brave to make such a bold decision (he pretty much avoids the fact that it was a HORRIBLE way to retcon a multi-year marriage). He also mentioned how pissed people were when they initially got married.
I am still hoping if done well, it could be amazing. Imagine X-Men turning into vampire versions. Vampire Rogue, Vampire Wolverine, yay!!!
That’s not the one where she gets the Cosmic Tapeworm, and goes hunting for Galactus to save her, and then he does and tells her it isn’t a tapeworm, she’s pregnant???
Yep.
just so long as she gets half his vibranium
But she is 80! What the hell was Marvel thinking? Aunt May doesn’t have much ticks left in her clock, Peter probably bought her like four years. Plus they could just like, get re-married? Oh my god, logic hurts. Seriously Aunt May doesn’t add shit to Spider-Man anymore, either have Doc Ock try to marry her again or kill her off, it’s been 60 years in the making.
OK all this when OMD takes place is confusing me, OMIT better make this clear :looney:
Oh and regarding Aunt May’s role in Spidey books; take into consideration how JMS used her character during his run and you’ll see some good utilization of her character.
…but I too agree that Aunt May should pass on.
They’ll remarry. IT WAS MEANT TO BE GODDAMMIT
Ohmahgosh, you read comics as well Gramps? We are destined to be bro’s apparently.
I hardly read Spidey, since most of his recent stuff (I.E.: After Civil War) has either sucked or had mixed reviews from fans, the current stuff looks good though. Last thing I read was American Son for the Dark Reign tie-in, and other than prego female goblin…thing, I liked the arc. JMS on Spidey sounds amazing though.
I was wondering why I was liking Secret Avengers so much, then I saw the fabled words: Author- Bru. He can do no wrong.
Fred Van Lente is going to write an Avengers book. What that book will be called no one knows.
Blog@Newsarama Blog Archive Fred Van Lente on an Avengers book?
According to the deal Mephisto said they can’t remarry. Which I think is alright. I kinda like bachelor Parker.
No they can remarry according to the deal with Mephisto. Pay close attention to the dialog towards the end of the last issue of OMD before the retcon took place.
Under current Marvel administration they won’t remarry / or reset the marriage via a retcon to a retcon lol - plain and simple. Sales have to fall MUUUUCH lower for Marvel to want to change anything. So long as the book is selling they are not going to do anything about it.
At the very least not until JQ resigns…
PRO TIP: Read Spider-Girl instead. Until it gets cancelled again of course… :wasted: Ah well, Pete’s still married to MJ in the comic strip. Which is corny at times but hey, YOU CAN READ IT FOR FREE!
Spider-Girl was canceled and ends with Spider-Girl: The End.
Yeah I know. Just hoping they start releasing bigger TPBs for Spider-Girl down the line. Like they are doing with the Clone Saga right now. Back tracking and looking for those small TPBs to fill up the holes in my collection is quite a pain. I know they have the entire series up on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited but I really don’t want to pay the monthly fees just to read one series.
Yea you’re right, don’t know what I was thinking.
But to anyone who hasn’t read OMD, despite how stupid it turned out to be it’s still a very good read. Very emotional, especially the last issue.
The last moments of the last last issue can be an emotional Tear Jerker for some but that doesn’t make up all the absurdities OMD did and how it Butchered Spidey so that JQ could get his point
- Was willing to make a deal with the devil but not Iron Man??
- as Sano said, the MU couldn’t handle a bullet wound?
- Power comes great responsibility… But he won’t face responsibility for his actions (gunshot because of unmasking which is his choice)
- Big Mama’s boy (Get rid of the marriage and at least grant his aunt a few more years. )
- Nothing matters around him, nothing but his pain, very unheroic and selfish and contradicts his heroic legacy no matter how hurt he was in the past
- blatant rip-off $3.99
JQ basically Lampshaded “How not to tell a spidey story 101/how not to tell a superhero story” and Handwaved every aspect that made spidey cool.
The mindlessness of it all escapes all forms of comprehension.
Again the only reason someone would read this and OMIT is because of Bile Fascination I REALLY wanted to be paid instead and given the comic books to read it
Happy x-men day!
Victor Gischler is randomly going to be doing a signing at my comic book store this sat. I bought the blank variant to get signed.
