Here is my obligatory once a month “I got another issue of New Avengers” post.
That building fell down and they ran away. Then the Nurse got like super duper tough and phasing girl who I don’t know was mad.
Then shitty wolverine couldn’t smell through the shit and Captain America 2 shot Ares in the face. Ronin Barton had some shitty lines and then Ms Marvel punched Normal Osbourne.
All in all it was pretty average. I hope they plant a bomb in Nick Cage and kill him and everyone else.
Or Norman takes him and makes an Iron Man suit out of his unbreakable skin. The Hood is still REALLY gay and just feels like a big “My dick is THIS big at Marvel, I can do whatever I WANT!” show off display by Bendis.
Soooo apparently there have been rumors that Kraven’s coming back in the Gauntlet storyline. THE Kraven, not a spin off, hinted at by Steve Wacker. Am I the only person that would be broken hearted by this?
Would be hella stupid if they did that. He already has 2 sons that are EXACTLY like him plus a daughter. They brung back Aunt May and Harry Osborn already. If the above is true then it looks like they won’t let a single DeMatteis death stand. Sigh… :bluu:
On the plus side, can you take anything Wacker hints at seriously? That guy does nothing BUT clown around and mess with people.
The only reason they should bring back Kraven is if they have a good story to tell with him. If they’re just going to do a “return” story and have nothing to do with him after words, why do it? I think they have some interesting plotlines with his daughter/mother now in the spotlights.
Maybe to justify Kraven’s appearance in the Free Comic Book Day Spider-Man Swing Shift issue (first ever BND story). We all assumed it was one of Kraven’s sons wearing their father’s get up, but… They did explain Slyde being in the Swing Shift comic as being an imposter in later ASM issues. The real Slyde died during Civil War.
So I’m reading through Morrison’s X-Men, liking it so far, though I do have a few gripes with it (eg the Deus Ex Machina during the Imperial story where Smasher is brought to the school and he explains Nova’s plans).
I’ve known that Xorn is Magneto, but I’d like something explain if possible please- There is an issue that is Xorn-centric, where it shows Xorn trying to solve a problem involving a 12 year old mutant and we get to see some insight from him. Was this Magneto using a faux personality in order to prevent others from suspecting the Xorn identity?
When Morrison wrote it Magneto was Xorn. Marvel retconned it so Magneto was never Xorn. Marvel had a problem with Magneto being a mass murderer during Morrison’s arc for some odd reason so they made it so Xorn and Magneto were never the same person.
Bendis dumped a crap load of garbage to explain who and what Xorn is, in New Avengers of all places. It became quite a disaster.
Heh after finishing the run I fully understood the Xorn thing and man the way Magneto was treated in Planet X…fucking fantastic!
I liked the Xorn persona as much as the next guy but in the end we gotta just let it go; it was just a ruse.
I’ll write more about how I liked Morrison’s X-Men later on :lovin:
@akuma- but…it’ll have STEREOTYPICAL HIGH SCHOOL TEENAGERS! AND A TEENAGE BLONDE KID WITH WOLVERINE’S CLAWS!
