Young Avengers and Sinister Spiderman were pretty good this week IMO.
Has anyone read the Wonderful Wizard of Oz? It should be collected in TPB/HC soon, but it’s a really nice adaptation of the original book. If anything it has a Morrison-like writing and pacing of sorts.

Is reborn #1 worth getting, something just seems lame about cap being back already.
It’s ongoing so it’s hard to say. Still at least it’s a new way - for Marvel anyway - to bring someone back from the dead.

I haven’t bothered with Reborn, being a Cap fan, I took it as a slap in the face when they brought him back so early and without a good reason or than “We want money”.
Man that Ultimate Red Skull is sweeeeet! Though I thought the Darth Maul wannabe was supposed to be Cap’s version of Red Skull in Ultimates, whatever, it’s cool to see the real deal come forth.

I don’t think it’s a slap in the face when the same writer who’s been writing it for the past five years is doing it and has been planning to do it. It’s not like Marvel’s got Brubaker’s family hostage and he’s being forced to write something he doesn’t wanna.

Zephy’s right about Bru planning to ressurect Steve, but…Zephy is a strong believer in Brubaker hence why he strongly defends the return of Cap under Bru’s helm. TBH I really would’ve rather if Steve’s death was written has Brubaker had wanted it, OR Steve stayed dead for a few more years.
I just did that to his comment about MAHVEL having Bru’s family, since I am a strong believer of such a whacked out statement.

I’m a fan of creators before characters. Let the man tell the story he wants to tell.
Stories always turn to crap once the people making them start worrying or caring about public opinion. Asking fans for their opinions on the direction a story should go is the sign of a poor writer. A good writer’s job is to give us what we need, not necessarily what we want.
I still can’t get over that there are probably some people who enjoyed the '90s Marvel Vs. DC where fans actually voted for the story outcome.
Well I’m sure Rebron would be written well, but when it comes to ‘need’; did we really need Cap’s death? Especially when it occurred in a major outcome in a big Marvel event only for it to be undone 2-3 years later in a NON major event story?
Yeah, we needed it. Brubaker said so. You’re confusing what you want with what you need again. Now leave me alone while I go hump my collection of Fantagraphics comics.
