Meh, I survived well enough without him. The only Alan Moore thing I would be interested in reading currently is his run on Swamp Thing, since I love that kind of genre.
The Hulk book sucks because of one person Jeph Loeb
Umm just to clarify; the Hulk book Loeb is writing…I just call it Rulk mainly because it features Rulk for the most part.
While it is action packed, I do feel it could go with some better writing.
I mean heck you want to read what a good ‘Rulk’ book would be like? Take a look at DC’s Solomon Grundy series; top notch action and a nice plot. Granted it’s Solomon Grundy vs. random DC character, but the characters he faces are of appropriate power compared to Grundy.
In Rulk it’s just random Marvel characters vs. Rulk every story arc. So if you like seeing LOTS of Marvel characters in one book, Rulk is the way to go.
The recent Defenders vs. Offenders arc is…so whack I may give the TPB a read just for lulz.
@are you ok- DAMN IT MAN, READ MORE ALAN MOORE (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, just about any of his collected AD 2000 stories, and his other DC work)! Oh and finding Alan Moore’s Mircaleman/Marvelman run from the 80s is very difficult as a single issue would cost a lot of cash. BUT if you can read it for free at a library or whatever do so, it’ll blow your mind.
Issue #7 or whereabouts is still one of the most mind awe-ing issues I’ve read in a comic.
Ignorance ain’t bliss!
Also, I don’t think you’re allowed to be a pro comics writer unless you have a healthy knowledge of Alan Moore comics.
Pft, I generally break comic laws, I’m a rebel like that. Good day sir!
They figure out who Rulk is yet? I still think It’s Talbot or his kid, said that when he was first introduced. While I like the idea of Rulk, Loeb is just terrible at writing a good comic these days. His upcoming work with Sale (Hulk: Gray) might be worth reading, but I doubt it.
What’s Alan Moore have to do with Marvel Comics? Apparently he’s too good to write for Marvel so why should Marvel care about him?
You can’t call yourself a rebel if you hadn’t read The Invisibles. You have read that book right?
Jeph Loeb & Greg Pak talks about a new WORLD WAR HULK(they even unveil a Red She Hulk)
I’ve lost interest in Hulk since the issue when Loeb decided not to reveal who Red Hulk is
Wolverine one looks really bad…
The Ironman one looks really good!

I personally don’t mind not knowing who Rulk’s identity is, speaking of which when was it revealed that Winter Soldier was Bucky in the Cap comic?
Hey, man - he created The Fury, a supervillain that your favorite writer of all time likes to play with.
There’s no way Marvel would invest in a character like Marvelman/Miracleman if they couldn’t market the backstory. You can only go so far forward with a character, if you don’t have that character’s history to flesh him out.
I keep fogetting to mention this, but the TPB for X-Men: Magneto Testament has extensive notes on all the bits of history they used in referencing World War II and Concentration Camps to craft the story. If you just purchased the single issues and not the TPB (I got both, that’s how much I liked it) then you can check the links below. Even if you got the TPB it’s cool so you can go here to see all of the links listed within the book.

When I have some free time I will try to review this book in the TPB thread in more detail. If you even remotely like Magneto than you really should check this book out.
sweet I’m def going to pick this up.
When will the dark reign tpb start dropping?
Not sure but Dark Reign is still going on in a few titles. My guess is they will start dropping TPBs for it when they kick off “Dark Reign: The List” since that in itself will contain several one shots.
I have a feeling that Norman is going to take a big fall with all the people is(trying)to fuck with.I say by next spring Maria Hill is going to be laughing her ass off just like she told him back in Dark Avengers #1
Wait Dark Reign is done? They should have had a main title, easier for me to follow this crap. Only thing I am reading from it is: Dark Reign Spidey (Done), Dark Avengers (I gotta read Utopia now to understand the crossover), and Dark Wolverine (I like Daken, a lot.)
How has Herc’s comic been lately? Still retaining the good action and humor? I stopped reading on the issue where he went into Nightmare’s realm with the God Squad.
Only a few more hours, gentlemen…
I WANNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE!
…unless you have a ps3
Incredible Hercules is still good, though I really preferred Clayton Henry’s artstyle a lot more than the artist for the latest arc. …but overall I think you’ll enjoy it.
