I don’t even know what’s going on with this cover.
It did not used to be this way. It’s weird that a lot of these awful comic covers are from comics written by that twit Bendis. Maybe it’s a coincidence. Then again maybe not.
The present Spider-Man comic you linked to didn’t show anything.
Did you just compare Bryne to GREG LAND?
Putting a Land cover up there is dirty pool.
I don’t like him or anything he’s ever done so I’m more than happy to agree with you there.
Almost all of the current ASM covers have had quite a bit going on AND represented the interiors pretty well.
The Noir covers have been pretty different.
Thunderbolts.
Deadpool covers continue to be entertaining and informative: http://www.newsarama.com/preview_images/marvelnew/july2009/41_deadpool_12.jpg
Old Man Logan
Captain America…
The older covers had a LOT of “Character A in foreground + cast members behind them looking onward” too.
Or “Character A lying on the ground dead/dying/wounded+ cast members in background looking shocked”. (which were over half the time misleading)
Not to mention some that were just borderline ridiculous.
Just google ‘Uncanny X-Men’ and you’ll see there’s not a huge difference overall.
It seems more of an artist thing, than a company thing.
Certain artists do covers as pin ups and others do them based on the interiors.
It’s all personal preference in the end.
You’re welcome to your opinion, kiddo, but the art they’re using is there to express or invoke feelings or it’s there to pay homage to another, earlier comic. They don’t just draw any damned thing and assume it’ll get printed. Take all of the Marvel Zombies covers, for example. They are all literal zombie recreations of famous or iconis book covers.
Furthermore, they can’t please everyone. Not ever. That’s the rule. If you don’t like the way comic book covers are drawn now-a-days, stop looking at them so we don’t have to listen to your nonsense.
Really? They could have fooled me because that’s exactly what I think they’re doing.
Apparently you don’t know me very well. I’m not one of these Marvel Zombies that just soaks up the movies and the trade paperbacks and goes along with everything they do. I’m a die-hard comic fan and I call it like I see it. If I think something’s cool I say so. If I think something sucks I say so.
I don’t need to know you nor do I have any interest in such a frivilous endeavor. What I AM interested in, however, is when obviously mentally deficient people judge things based solely on what THEY THINK, instead on the facts of the matter. You’re welcome to your opinion, sure, but it doesn’t make you right or entertaining.
Die-Hard fan? Lol, you’re not fit to carry some of the guys in this threads comics to their car.
i just read x-force #14 and realize im hooked on messiah war ! i like the artwork, but sometimes it could get a bit crowded and dark in the panels. However i think the storyline and the charachters involved more than makes up for that
i think my favorite comic charachter right now is Cable. ive only read cable #12 and #13 so i seem to completely have missed how he lost his powers , but i suppose it has something to do with the strain of the techno organic virus ?
Besides Greg Land’s covers, just about every cover I’ve seen for the comics in the past two years were fine.
Some may have been misleading, but otherwise fine.
Took the “Marvel Zombies” comment as a slam against us, gave him the infraction for Trolling and the two points lead him to another ban. All he does is troll, it’s annoying.
