I would recommend Planet Hulk and World War Hulk. That got me back into comics. The X-Men crossover Messiah Complex was also very good. Its not too hard to jump into.
Bendis is a fan favorite, but I think he is trash for the most part(New Avengers is good though). I am mostly alone in that feeling.

I like Bendis. He isn’t always the best writer, but he’s got the passion for what he does, and he understands the characters he writes.
I’m actually really excited about the New Avengers SI/House of M tie in this week. It should be really interesting.
After reading the first 6 arcs and the mini I may have to drop X-Factor. Im just not really feeling the arc.

We all can’t like everything. I’ve read quite a few. Mighty Avengers was some of the worst crap I’ve ever read, Daredevil was okay, the only thing I’ve liked was New Avengers.

The pencils are great. I just can’t believe how bad the writing is. It is some of the worst writing I’ve ever had to experience.

First of all, bub, I wasn’t comparing Bendis to Morrison, so I have no idea where you came out with that. Unless you were just trying to make a random interjection like how P.Gabby randomly busts out with “Rucka>>>>>>Brubaker” or something. I love Morrison and Bendis and I don’t like trying to quantify which guy I like more - the point is, I like them both and I would definitely pay for a chance to be part of a threesome with them as long as nudity, rubber toys, and lubrication are involved.
Secondly, I tried reading Way’s Nighthawk and I still thought it was garbage. I think it’s fairly well established by now that I am a comic book snob, and you are the exact opposite. We’ll have to agree to disagree, or you can PM me your full name, address, and social security number and we can settle this like men.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the real reason JMS didn’t renew his exclusive with Marvel was ‘cause of what happened to Supreme Power. That book, more than Amazing Spider-Man, got jobbed badly after the original 18 issues. Letting Daniel Way write one of JMS’ characters was probably some Marvel editor going on a power trip and trying to put JMS in his place with a metaphorical New England Eff-You Touchdown.
